Hotel a Lombo Do Doutor, Portogallo

I was looking at my reviews on TripAdvisor when I saw my previous review of this hotel where I gave it 4 stars. Still not bad of course, but I wanted to write another review as me and my husband have been back to Saccharum twice(!) after my first review. So I thought about writing a new review. This is now our favorite hotel on Madeira, as it’s not as crowded like a lot of hotels in Funchal. Calheta is beautiful and not crowded at all. We really appreciate privacy and a calm environment when we go on holiday, and Saccharum is great for this! Sometimes restaurants are packed with other tourists and you’re seated a couple centimeters away from other guests but here at Saccharum you can eat all relaxed in whatever restaurant of the hotel you please. We really like the bar next to the sea, Calhau. They have nice vegetarian options for me. Also everything is clean and hygiene is great. That’s so important to me. So after our new experiences at this hotel I’ve wanted to change my 4-star review into a 5-star review. We are now planning to take my parents to Madeira in October of this year to show them this beautiful island, and we will be staying at Saccharum!

Fantastic!! Having never done an all inclusive holiday due to my sons serious allergies we can honestly not recommend more! Travelling with a 3 month baby in tow also the rooms were ideal & spacious for our needs. It was all clean & tidy! However a huge huge thank you to Betty the chef for catering & making our sons holiday the best! We will be back!

Hotel au milieu de la montagne, jolies vues, très bons repas, personnel très gentil Un peu vieux en terme de deco, nous avons eu froid dans la pièce commune et en dormant (manque de couverture), lit très inconfortable…

Ho visitato questo hotel prima della recente ristrutturazione e vorrei conoscere questi cambiamenti. Sono molto sorpreso! Mi piace molto il concetto aperto di reception, bar, ristorante e la sua decorazione. Ho sottolineato le modifiche apportate alla camera: decorazione, comfort e servizi extra (tè, caffè, champagne e minibar). Mi piace la piscina costruita sulla terrazza e l'area circostante. La colazione è ottima e mi piace l'idea del menu della cena. Il personale è molto cordiale e attento. Congratulazioni! ! ! ?

This place was amazing. The location of Camara de Lobos was perfect. A lovely fishing village bay. The hotel was split into 2 buildings, the reception building and the main room stay and restaurant building. The reception building has a bar and various relaxing areas and a few stay room above. The other building, the main stay, has 2 floors for rooms and the 3rd floor has the restaurant, pool and sun beds area. The 2nd floor is the best because of the views down into the bay. When we first saw this place on Jet2 we thought it would be higher up the hillside, but this wasn’t the case, it is at street level. Food in the restaurant was good and they couldn’t do enough to satisfy your needs, from requesting ice and drinks to take to your room but going the whole 9 yards. Carolina was our waitress of our stay, whether she served us in the restaurant or at the dock bar by reception. Always smiling and couldn’t do enough for you. We was celebrating our 50 anniversary and the hotel left us a gift, drink and cakes etc, after the first week and wine and cakes on our actual anniversary. Thee receptionist gave good information regarding places to visit from either local buses to taxes etc. They organised a trip by mini bus for a tour of the east of the island.

Il personale della reception è molto bello e utile, le camere sono pulite ogni giorno, una bella vista dal balcone, non c'è aria condizionata, ma c'è un fan. Le camere, le camere, le letti, il gel di doccia nel bagno e i tovaglioli sono cambiati ogni giorno. Piscina al tetto e saloni solari. La colazione deliziosa, regolarmente riempita, buon succhi e caffè, l'unica cosa è che non ci sono verdure per un sandwich.

La vacanza Saga che ho trovato è stato un grande valore rimanere in questo piacevole piccolo hotel in un luogo ideale. Ho scelto questo resort per la pace e la tranquillità che volevo e perché non avevo davvero vissuto la costa settentrionale durante i miei viaggi a Madera in passato. Il pranzo era meglio di quanto mi aspettassi, i menu erano vari e adeguati. Se sei un fotografo non sarai deluso dalla posizione e accessibilità di luoghi fantastici per andare in giro, ammirando le viste. Il viaggio verso località è piuttosto semplice con il trasporto pubblico o con l'autobus che l'hotel offre per visitare San Vicente. La ricezione può fornire dettagli sulle esigenze di viaggio e viaggi in tutta l'isola. Nel mio hotel, ho viaggiato in località, a Funchal e al Valle delle Nuns, dove c'era sempre qualcosa da fare e ho avuto fortuna di avere un bel tempo durante il mio soggiorno. La clientela proveniva da tutta Europa e il gruppo Saga, di cui ero parte, era estremamente amichevole e piacevole di essere nella compagnia di. Non ho incontrato alcuna declinazione durante la mia visita. Si', l'hotel potrebbe fare un piccolo cambiamento, ma questo non dovrebbe distrarre nessuno per visitare. Se si richiede una pausa semplicemente per ricarrare se stesso, questo è un luogo ideale.

Ottimo hotel appena sotto Boca de Encumeada (480 mt). Anche il bus ferma nelle vicinanze, ma il personale dà un passaggio, se serve. Gentilissimi Le camere sono grandi, spaziose, pulite e calde. Colazione ottima, nel nostro caso eravamo solo in 5 nell'hotel quindi per ogni extra si poteva chiedere. Ex uova strapazzate, pancetta. Pancakes od altro. Si possono ordinare panini da portare via (packed lunch), state attenti con il pane. Loro scrivono SANDWICH ed è con il nostro pane bauletto. Dite che volete il pan in cassetta fatto in casa. Quello è ottimo. Cena ottima con varie scelte. Prezzi ottimi. Per l'aperitivo c'è un piccolo bar con delle birre artigianali di Madeira. Ottimi. Consiglio vivamente questo albergo!
