Hostal La Numantina

Designato come tappa di un tour del nord della Spagna, questo è un ostello essenziale, in una buona posizione centrale per le passeggiate e vicino al fiume Ebro che attraversa la città. Sebbene in fase di ristrutturazione con lavori in corso, le camere erano semplici e non troppo piccole per una persona singola. Le camere hanno TV e servizi essenziali e la doccia era OK, anche se mancava l'attacco per la testa, quindi ho dovuto tenerla mentre facevo la doccia. Il mio letto era composto da 2 singoli uniti ma preparati come singoli, quindi ho dovuto rifarli perché erano corti per me. La reception offre caffè e tè gratuiti e il personale è cordiale, anche se sono rimasto deluso quando l'impegno di riparare la doccia non è stato rispettato.

Camera e bagno molto piccoli (dovevi chiedere il permesso per spostarti nel bagno), anche loro erano in costruzione e dovevi portare le valigie su per le scale 2 piani più in alto. La cosa positiva è che avevano una macchina per caffè e infusi, oltre che per muffin, 24 ore su 24, E GRATIS.

Stayed here twice during my camino, before and after I went to Bilbao. Awesome location near the major sites and Calle del Laurel (known for its tapas bars). Loved the vibe at the reception area, and the receptionist was very nice and helpful; she even printed my Correos envelope for free. My first room was the perfect size for one person and was nice, bright, and clean; the bathroom was also spotless. The only problem was that the wifi could not be detected from the room. My second stay was better, wifi signal was strong and I was placed in a bigger room. However, it was a weekend so the noise from Calle del Laurel could be heard through the closed windows.

The first you will see when you arrive is that the reception is not on the ground floor, but on the second one (ring the bell by the street entrance). In addition to this, in February they were installing an elevator in the building, which means that the stairs were a mess and made a bad first impression. But this is actually a really good hostel, starting with the kind, friendly, helpful staff that speaks good English. In the reception customers can also get coffee, hot chocolate and hot water for free. The wifi is also free and works well. As for the rooms, they are spacious, very clean, but basic. They are equipped with A/C (and heating), a flat TV and an ensuite, modern, nice bathroom. The hostel's location is great, right in the middle of the action in the old town and very close to many tapas bars, restaurants and the main tourist attractions, while it is also a 15 minutes walk from the bus station.

Volví a este lugar porque me encantó. La atención es personalizada, y tanto Iván -su dueño- como el resto del personal te hacen sentir como en tu casa. La ubicación es excelente y las habitaciones están muy bien. Muy bonita la sala de estar y se agradecen el café e infusiones de cortesía. Volveré!

Trato muy cordial y amable, viajo con mi perrita haciendo camino Santiago. Volveré cuando regrese por Logroño. Ubicados en casco antiguo, zona de bares y restaurantes tipicos de la ciudad. Cerca del paseo del rio.
