The Bull Hotel

We’ve arrived for the weekend as a late get away for my wife’s birthday to explore the island, yet again. We have a deluxe double room, in the courtyard, which is very nice. Only criticism is that the bed could be bigger. And the radiator plumbed in. Maybe it is switched off for the warmer months?! But using a mobile oil heater. Not a problem this time of year to take the edge off. As the room is cool. Which is ace in this warm weather. Room is well equipped with a wardrobe & hangers. Tea & coffee making facilities. Fresh towels. Small toiletries. Bath with overhead shower. Dresser with mirror. Bedside tables either side with plugs & lamps. The actually pub is very nice. Had two bar meals this evening which were very nice & homemade. Staff are friendly. And the locals seemed very welcoming too. Loads of amenities within a very short walk. Including takeaways & an Asda not a 5 minute walk away. Recommended 👍🏻

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, giving us directions to get to the location of the party we were attending. Our room excellent, with lots of character including a four poster bed. The bar area was lovely, very clean and reasonable prices. The only minor criticism was the timing of breakfast. 8.00-9.00 is a bit early on a Sunday morning, especially if you have had a beer or two on the Saturday morning🙈. However we found a very nice cafe just up the road, so all was well. We will definitely be returning to The Bull

Brilliant stay on a solo cycle trip to visit UKI 5 countries (England, Wales, Ireland, North Ireland, Scotland). Great room, which was a nice size, clean and very comfortable. I stayed in a room in the outside courtyard which was quiet. The pub was great and nice friendly atmosphere, breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced.
