The Mill at Glynhir

My husband Paul saw this hotel on four in a bed where Helen and Mat were the winners of this programme. He decided from that day that he would like to go there. Our daughter Hannah booked it for us for the weekend and wow it did not disappoint. The room was so beautiful and the view was incredible. Helen and Mat couldn’t do enough for us, they were both the perfect hosts and what lovely, down to earth people. The breakfast they provided was fabulous and again nothing was too much trouble. It was such a pleasure to meet them both and get to visit their beautiful place. We will most definitely be returning but next time our family will be coming with us. Thank you Helen and Mat x

Utterly relaxing. Matt and Helen are such good hosts and so welcoming. They had thought of virtually everything to make the room just right. Very generous jar of snacks and cold fresh milk in the fridge too! The views from our room were of mature, tall trees with a clearing in the woodland between the property and the river being home to some lovely, gentle alpacas. Fabulous. It’s quite understandable why this property isn’t suitable for dogs - with the alpacas particularly. Breakfast was nicely varied with a very wide choice. Excellently prepared. Such an enjoyable stay.

I had the most amazing return visit to The Mill, it was just wonderful. The whole place is so beautiful, clean and just immaculate, in fact it is just like being in another world with Alpacas roaming around the beautiful grounds. My room was spacious clean and even had a hospitality jar with all kinds of special savoury and sweet goodies. There is a golf course next door so if you play don’t leave your clubs behind. Helen and Mat cooked a delicious breakfast and could not have done enough for me and I had a really lovely stay and can’t wait to return.

What a lovely down to earth couple. The annex was so clean and well equipped, love the balcony view. The place is in a great location away from the roads and in a nature lovers place. The breakfast was lovely. I would love to stay again.

We love staying here, it's very comfortable, immaculately presented, beautifully curated but so much more. The view is onto a field beside a river with mature broad leaf trees opposite. It is very peaceful, the birds are plentiful and play on the balcony. The 4 alpacas add a lovely interest and smell of popcorn. Matt and Helen are very friendly and helpful and provide amazing breakfasts. We were in the self catering part this time, which we love. The readers among us love being either on the terrace or in the sitting room with the beautiful view to distract us. Well equipped kitchen for catering and feeding large numbers and baking. We leave fully restored and relaxed. Lots nearby to visit including castles, gardens and wetlands reserves.
