The Mill at Glynhir

I had the most amazing return visit to The Mill, it was just wonderful. The whole place is so beautiful, clean and just immaculate, in fact it is just like being in another world with Alpacas roaming around the beautiful grounds. My room was spacious clean and even had a hospitality jar with all kinds of special savoury and sweet goodies. There is a golf course next door so if you play don’t leave your clubs behind. Helen and Mat cooked a delicious breakfast and could not have done enough for me and I had a really lovely stay and can’t wait to return.

What a lovely down to earth couple. The annex was so clean and well equipped, love the balcony view. The place is in a great location away from the roads and in a nature lovers place. The breakfast was lovely. I would love to stay again.

We love staying here, it's very comfortable, immaculately presented, beautifully curated but so much more. The view is onto a field beside a river with mature broad leaf trees opposite. It is very peaceful, the birds are plentiful and play on the balcony. The 4 alpacas add a lovely interest and smell of popcorn. Matt and Helen are very friendly and helpful and provide amazing breakfasts. We were in the self catering part this time, which we love. The readers among us love being either on the terrace or in the sitting room with the beautiful view to distract us. Well equipped kitchen for catering and feeding large numbers and baking. We leave fully restored and relaxed. Lots nearby to visit including castles, gardens and wetlands reserves.

Such a charming place to stay. Our room was very large, with balcony, table and fridge, and bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern, like it had been renovated very recently. Like other reviewers say, there is so much attention to detail with the goodies jar and extra towels and mugs. Breakfast was excellent with more options than many hotels we've been in. The hosts Helen and Matt were so friendly and accommodating, giving us tips on what to visit nearby. They even let us feed the alpacas on our last day, which were so cute up close. Highly recommended.

Just back from another great stay at The Mill. We really can’t speak highly enough of this B&B. It’s set in a quiet location and surrounded by beautiful countryside. All the rooms are immaculate, have everything you could possibly want for your stay (and more), they’re spotlessly clean and they are maintained to a very high standard. As others have said, the breakfast, whether you just want cereals or a full cooked, is spot on. The hosts, Mat and Helen, are brilliant, so friendly and accommodating, they really do go over and above to make your stay special. The Mill is a great base from which to explore the area, here are a few of our personal recommendations: Henrhyd Falls – Beautiful location and you can actually walk behind the falls. Dinefwr Castle, House and Gardens – Bit of a trek to the Castle but worth it for the views. Pembrey Country Park and Beach – Picnic areas and a long, long beach. Barafundle Bay Beach – Simply stunning (park at Stackpole Quay). Tenby – Nice little town with great beaches. Rhossili - Long beach set in a picturesque bay, at low tide you can walk out to the island just off the headland. Carreg Cennen Castle – Great views, a underground tunnel and drawings showing how the various parts of the castle would have looked. Use the contact details on their website and book directly.
