I would recommend this place to everyone as it can handle anything. I’ve found it to be more of a romantic or family type place as compared to a guys trip. Can’t speak for a girls trip but small groups are better unless going to buy out the entire place for the weekend with a wedding

Sono molto particolare su TUTO e sono stato piacevolmente sorpreso dal nostro soggiorno al Days Inn a Torrington. Tutto supera le nostre aspettative. In the late 1980s, while driving back home from college with my girlfriend, we broke down in the middle of the night - in winter - not far from this inn. This predated cellphones so my girlfriend and I walked back down the road to this place; there being really nothing else around. After a while of knocking, this lady came to the door and we explained our predicament. She said we could call our parents, but that it made the most sense to just stay the night and she'd help us get gasoline in the morning. She set us up with a very nice room with a working fireplace. In the morning, she made us a great breakfast and took us into town to grab gas. Never charged us a penny nor accepted any offering. Ever since then, I've wanted to come back here and stay as a paying customer - just a way to thank the owners. Unfortunately, those owners sold and there are new owners. However, I'm quite convinced were the scene to play out today, it would go much the same. We had a lovely stay. Even though we only live about a half hour away, I decided to take my wife (not the same girl from college) for a quick getaway - AND to check off this bucket list item. We booked a single overnight in the cottage. The inn was proactive about making sure they knew when we'd be arriving to make sure everything was set. The fireplace is wonderful. There's plenty of room to cozy up to it with both chairs and throw pillows. There's a whirlpool tub that we did not make use of (this time). We have it on good authority that it takes a long time to fill so plan accordingly. (There's a great little guest book in the room with this tidbit). The king-size bed was very comfortable. There's a mini-fridge in there, basic cable TV, and WiFi. Convenient, but go to this inn to UNplug. We did have a problem with the heat in the cottage but Lucas was extremely attentive and corrected the issue immediately. The next day, he was also our breakfast chef who's as handy with kitchen appliances as he is with furnaces. The breakfast was very good. Friends of ours go away fairly regularly but they don't necessarily travel far; they just do little escapes like this. They've inspired us. We think it's a good idea - it's nice to just get away for a day or two even if it's just around the corner. We will return here to try some of the other rooms and certainly to take advantage of the pool in the summer. If you're looking to meander and spend some quiet time with your spouse, the NW corner of the state is great and you cannot go wrong hanging your hat at the Blackberry River Inn for a few nights.

Arrived to find the Reception area being completely renovated -- fair enough, but there was no signage to indicate where to find the temporary reception, which was in a makeshift corner of a conference room and neither clean nor inviting. Very young, rumpled staff were friendly but completely inexperienced and unprofessional. No elevator to get our heavy bags to our room, and no reason why. Was told by Sarah (?) that the included continental breakfast would feature 'pastries, yogurt and fruit'; the next morning, we were directed instead to a platter of pre-wrapped slices of banana bread in a basement lounge area. That was 'breakfast'. We said this was unacceptable and the young chap on reception agreed, but had absolutely no apology nor insight as to why this was the case. Despite a spacious, clean and well appointed bedroom, the entire experience was rather a shock and certainly a disappointment. The Interlaken has been a feature of the Lakeville landscape for decades, and I expected far more than this.

The place is a hidden or not so hidden gem. Service, food, activities; this place has it all and management has everyone who works there firing on all cylinders at all times. I would recommend this place to everyone as it can handle anything. I’ve found it to be more of a romantic or family type place as compared to a guys trip. Can’t speak for a girls trip but small groups are better unless going to buy out the entire place for the weekend with a wedding

Arrived to find the Reception area being completely renovated -- fair enough, but there was no signage to indicate where to find the temporary reception, which was in a makeshift corner of a conference room and neither clean nor inviting. Very young, rumpled staff were friendly but completely inexperienced and unprofessional. No elevator to get our heavy bags to our room, and no reason why. Was told by Sarah (?) that the included continental breakfast would feature 'pastries, yogurt and fruit'; the next morning, we were directed instead to a platter of pre-wrapped slices of banana bread in a basement lounge area. That was 'breakfast'. We said this was unacceptable and the young chap on reception agreed, but had absolutely no apology nor insight as to why this was the case. Despite a spacious, clean and well appointed bedroom, the entire experience was rather a shock and certainly a disappointment. The Interlaken has been a feature of the Lakeville landscape for decades, and I expected far more than this.

I loved my stay at the Kent Main Street Hideaway of the Cornwall Inn. Location was perfect. You can walk to all the restaurants, shops, and enjoy the charm, the quiet and beauty of the town. The innkeepers Stacey and Mark were always friendly and available to answer my questions and the room itself was clean, quiet, private and equipped with everything you need. Super comfortable bed, modern shower and bath. A wonderful home away from home. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Abbiamo soggiornato nel cuore bianco prima, e abbiamo sempre amato l'atmosfera, le camere e il cibo. Tuttavia, questa volta era così deludente. Abbiamo soggiornato nella camera 32, che era una suite di letto di livello inferiore del re nel cottage separato. La stanza stessa era bella. Ma non mi fermerò mai più qui, cominciando la serata presto, e poi di nuovo la mattina, ogni passo in salotto poteva essere sentito come se fosse un gregge di elefanti. Abbiamo finalmente chiamato il servizio frontale, che ha cercato di aiutare, e quando gli ospiti di sopra non hanno risposto al telefono, il membro del personale è venuto a colpire la porta, avevano figli che devono essere stati in movimento costantemente, anche se gli ospiti negavano. Non hanno potuto capire che in un vecchio edificio, ogni passo può essere sentito qui sotto, e anche quando è stato detto, non pensavano opportuno cercare e ridurre i loro figli. Mentre il personale dell’hotel si scusava (in serata, e ancora una volta quando l’ho menzionato al checkout), non è stato fatto nulla. Riconoscendo che il comportamento degli ospiti è fuori controllo della gestione, queste camere superiori non dovrebbero permettere ai bambini giovani (a meno che non venga aggiunto un certo tipo di prova sonora). Queste camere non sono costose, e per una serata speciale, siamo stati molto delusi. Aggiornamento: Mgmt ha riconosciuto la nostra esperienza subottimale e ci ha restituito una parte del nostro soggiorno, che è stata la risposta appropriata per un inn di qualità.

Sono molto particolare su TUTO e sono stato piacevolmente sorpreso dal nostro soggiorno al Days Inn a Torrington. Tutto supera le nostre aspettative. L'hotel è conveniente e convenientemente situato, la stanza era molto pulita e tranquilla, e il personale è cortese.Il parcheggio è ben illuminato alla notte e l'edificio dispone di 24 ore di sorveglianza di sicurezza all'interno della zona di lobby, delle strade e di tutti gli impianti. Se siete un alzato precoce, il lobby ha una piccola zona di caffè a disposizione per una tazza veloce di Joe prima di checkout al mattino. Un alto grido a Shelley (3° turno) e Linda (2° turno) che lavorano sul desk front. Ci hanno fatto sentire a casa e erano molto accoglienti. P.S. La gentilezza è contagiosa. Grazie!
