Hotel Family-friendly a Limni

La struttura é molto bella, tuttavia avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescatina in termini di arredamento delle stanze. La zona piscina molto molto bella. Staff gentilissimo in tutto e per tutto… tranne il rooming accomodation manager che di sua iniziativa ci aveva messo in una stanza diversa da quella che avevamo scelto facendoci credere in un upgrade… in realtà dopo un po’ di insistenza siamo riusciti ad avere la nostra stanza, terrazza e vista mare… molto ma molto meglio. Questo gesto non ci è piaciuto molto!!! In primis perché ce lo ha spacciato per una miglioria… anche mio figlio di 18 mesi ci arriva a capire che voleva fregarci. Va beh! Corfu città molto bella e facilmente raggiungibile dalla struttura, noi avevamo l’auto ma consigliamo di prendere un taxi, parcheggiare é un incubo!!!! Tutto il resto dell’isola… bah, niente di che sinceramente.

It is OK with many good points but a number of negatives. Firstly the good points. The staff are excellent, the food is good, it is very clean and the room was serviced very well. My main issue with the hotel is that there are simply too many people (and it wasn't full) for what are fairly small areas around the small'ish (cold) pool and the beach (more on the beach later). The hotel is quite isolated but if you are just going to stay on site then that isn't a problem. To get to Corfu town you can use the once a day hotel bus (10 euros I think and needs booking), speed boat (20 euros each and needs booking) or the service bus that stops on the main road which is a 10 minute walk away. The speed boat was good fun! There is no info in the hotel about the service bus. It is No 7 and costs 1.6 euros each way. You need to get tickets in advance - from the small shop on site. Incidentally Corfu is nothing great and is overrun by 3 or 4 cruise ship passengers. The beach is not how it appears in the photos. It is a narrow ***** of sand (about 20ft wide) with a smallish grass area behind. We didn't have hot water in the room for the whole week despite telling reception 4 times. There are 5 a la carte restaurants that I understand are excellent. You can (theoretically) eat once at each of them. We tried to book the day after we arrived but they were all booked up. It says on the website that you should book using the app before arrival but that doesn't work as you need a room number. So book the minute that you arrive! There is little or no information in the hotel or room (even how to set the safe) - apparently it is all on their app - even the drinks menu.
