The Pollis is in a great location, 5 minutes walk from the beach, set back enough to avoid the crowds and noise of the numerous bars and restaurants along there, and close to a supermarket on the main street which is where some excursions pick up from. Our room had a balcony on the opposite side from the pool, facing into a residential street, with a mountain view to one side. The hotel was kept spotless, no overly enthusiastic cleaners banging around at 7am like some previous reviews. A sign hung on the outside of your room door lets them know you WANT the room cleaning. The room itself was modern, spotless and the air con worked wonderfully. The beds and pillows are the most comfortable we've ever had on holiday and the bathroom was a great size. Fridge in the room was great and should you want extra water for overnight you can request it from the bar. For public areas there is a choice of the terrace out front, the bar, the pool terrace or the large paved terrace adjacent to the pool shower. Plenty of space and a variety of types of seating (sofas, rattan, plastic - all comfy) and lounging (long and teardrop bean bag longers, plus traditional pool style ones on the large paved terrace - and even a couple of hammocks). The pool gets the sun all morning. When we arrived at 1400 it was a lovely temperature to be refreshing and spend some time in. I did find the floor tiles in both the main pool and the lower of the other two baby pools (where I sat on the wall with my feet in the water to refresh them several times) very slippery. Unlike previous reviews exclaiming that they vanished beneath the water, the depth of them is nowhere near the depth the signs say. I am just over 165cm tall and the shallow end was barely to my hip, (sign saying 1m deep) and the deep end wasn't over my shoulders, let alone my head (sign saying 180cm). The change in depth is quite sudden but you can clearly see it. The staff are all friendly and polite, we found them absolutely lovely! The cleaners do a fantastic job and everyone is helpful and efficient. We were there on an all inclusive basis. All inclusive drinks are beer, wine, ouzo and raki. All their other alcohol is brand name, which you are never going to have included for the price you pay here. Most soft drinks were also all inclusive, although I did hear one of the bartenders advise that the freshly squeezed oj was payable - although there was a machine in the restaurant with several juices from concentrate which were included. Food was fresh and plentiful with plenty of choice for all meals. If you have an excursion which means you will miss a meal, they will also pack a lunch for you, just request it the day before and they will have it ready for your requested time. There was a variety of fresh fruit and salads, a variety of proteins, a variety of carbs, cold meats and cheeses, pancakes, desserts and cakes - and the freshly cooked pizza and garlic bread done in their in restauran
