Abdi homestay

The room is cozy and clean. Good WiFi and beautiful view. The owners of the place very hospitable and really taking care of the guests. Love this place and the whole area of Harau Valley - you can find a lot of nature and nice people.

Where to start? Abdi Homestay in the Harau Valley has to be one of the best places I have stayed in my entire life. From our first contact with them, they were amazing. I enquired about accommodation and they responded super fast, sending me a video of the cottage and the views, they then stayed in touch throughout and answered all my little questions. The cottage we stayed in was incredible. A queen sized bed downstairs and a spacious bathroom with flushing western toilet and another queen sized bed upstairs. The bed was super comfy, the views incredible. They provided a fabulous breakfast - banana pancakes, fried rice or friend noodles, plus they cooked an amazing dinner each night for an incredibly reasonable price. Tea and coffee were available free of charge in the restaurant at all times, plus you could refill your water bottle. There is electricity now and good Wifi too which is stronger in the restaurant than the cottage. There is only cold water available to wash with but it's really not an issue as it helps cool you down! Loved it and would return in a heartbeat!

You will not find a better place to stay in Harau than Abdi homestay. From the moment you arrive the staff and family make you welcome and you feel right at home. Our cute bungalow was lovely and clean. The food was delicious. For breakfast there was a choice of traditional, omelettes or pancakes all cooked fresh. Dinner was traditional and very delicious again all freshly prepared for you. Everyone is so helpful and can give you routes to walk by yourself to the waterfall nearby or you can have a guided trek which can be customised to what you want to see. This place is very special I felt very sad to leave. The setting is peaceful with rice fields in front and rock and waterfall behind. Truly magical!

This is the first time i travel to sumatera and choosing harau valley for destination is absolute best decision. You can call Mr.Ricky (ig: Ricky Abdi Homestay) for guide. The scenery is so beautifull, calming and relaxing. I go tracking guide by Mr. Fikri, through a green landscape of rice fields in the middle of rocky mountain, its a wonderfull walk, we can hear anda even see 'siamang' voices calling the rain, and see how the villagers doing activity in the rice field. And then we hike up to hidden waterfall and eat Nasi Padang after bath. Omg i think im gonna cry write this missing that moment, the food Nasi padang is so different from jakarta , is10x more delicious especially the sambalado. Overall, if you find a place to feel your soul in west sumatera. Dont go anywhere but abdi homestay in Harau Valley. Thankyo

Nous avons passé un super séjour en famille à Abdi Homestay. Le personnel est vraiment adorable. Le cadre est magnifique. Juste devant une sublime cascade. Les chambres sont charmantes. C'est vraiment une excellente adresse pour visiter la vallée d'Harau.
