3 Doors from Plaza de Armas this is the perfect base to explore;ore core central Lima in the safest possible way. Rooms were spotlessly clean, shower as hot as you like and people are genuinely helpful. You can stay at Miraflores and experience an everywhere experience or you can do the unique vibrancy that is Central Lima, if you go central this is where the quality meets value intersection. There is a great convenience store underneath the hotel, great fro late arrivals, hotel will also book taxis at no charge.

We stayed at hotel El Plaza for a week during the first week of May 2023. The hotel itself is step away from Plaza San Martin, across the street of Bolivar Hotel. The hotel was very ,clean the bed were comfy and the staff are very friendly, very helpful and very kind. All the historic sites are within walking distances. Restaurants, cafés, bars, supermarket etc... It is indeed a very noisy place but this is Lima and that's the way it is. You would hear the same noise at Bolivar Hotel and other hotels in the historic center. I would suggest that you bring ear plugs, like I always do. It is not a luxury hotel but good enough to spend the week and value for what you pay. Beside we spend the days outside, combing back to drop our shopping bags and out we went again. There is a piano bar/restaurant at the hotel where you can grab a bite and have a nice glass of Pisco Sour while listening to nice music. The staffs are the best. Always smiling and always very helpful. Basically they are the one who runs the hotel , without them the hotel won't be the same. I would like to thank Dana, Adrian, Humberto, Nati, Estafani for their kindness, they are the BEST. I would recommend this hotel while in the historical center of Lima and I would stay there again without hesitation as long as they keep up the good work :)

Visité el restaurante. Recomiendo cualquiera de las opciones del menú: excelente balance de alimentos, buena sazón, platos bien servidos, atención cordial y digestión perfecta. Los elegí después de recorrer muchas cuadras en la zona buscando un lugar adecuado para almorzar. Regresaré pronto!

The Good - The location. It is close to the old city center of Lima. There is a big Metro grocery store a short block away (and they also sell clothes), It has an elevator, breakfast is included (not fancy, but still free). Also has a smoking area and the rooms and beds are very comfortable. And there was a mini-fridge!! Shower had a rainfall type showerhead that was wonderful. The Bad - this only counts if you are a light sleeper, as it is on a main thoroughfare, you will get lots of traffic noise and horn honking, which seems to really taper off to nothing between midnight and 6:00 AM. If you are not bothered by noise (I am not) then it is not an issue. The Ugly - If you are not accustomed to big city streets you might be a bit put off by all the street vendors. However, it is part of the color and flavor of the city. For me it was 5-stars, affordable, easy for tour operators to find for pick up and drop off. It is almost more of a business hotel, so it is (internally) quite quiet.

Il servizio è molto buono, il personale di servizio Jorge è particolarmente paziente e entusiasta.Molto grazie.La posizione è anche buona e è a 50 metri dalla piazza delle armi.La stanza è abbastanza grande e tranquilla.L'hotel è più sicuro. Si trova praticamente sulla Place des Armes, posizione perfetta, e ben sicura. La receptionnist Jorge è molto accogliente, paziente e servibile, grazie molto. Camera abbastanza grande e tranquillo

I love the Bolivar, have stayed there twice. It's a bit tired in places but that's ok, part of the charm of staying in an old hotel. I found all the staff lovely and helpful and the room was clean, the Chamberlain did an excellent job. The breakfast was not very exciting. Coffee, juice and eggs, fried boiled or scrambled. A slice of cheese and a slice of cheap reconstituted ham came with the eggs. This is called an American breakfast. They could do better. If staying on a Friday or Saturday beware that music from street, shouting and cars honking go on all night. The hotel windows are single glazed and ear plugs are a must. The Bolivar is a charming hotel, I always aim to stay there when in Lima.
