Roosevelt Hotel & Suites

I stayed at the Roosevelt six months ago and again last week. After booking directly with the hotel, I was given a good rate and an upgraded room, larger than the one I stayed in previously. The Roosevelt also provides an airport pick-up if you're staying three nights or more. The rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and was quite necessary as Lima is having a hot summer. A full breakfast is included. It can be eggs, oatmeal or fruit, and it includes fresh juice and coffee. The French Toast is delicious and presented beautifully. The front desk employees are exceptional. I was usually greeted with a smile and by name when I passed the desk. They couldn't be more friendly and helpful. In fact all the employees that I encountered at the hotel and the restaurant were kind, friendly and service oriented. The hotel is in a pleasant neighborhood filled with cafes, restaurants, book stores and a supermarket. Everything you need is in walking distance. And it's a nice area to walk around and explore. Bottom line: If you're looking for fancy and luxury, stay at the Country Club and pay three times as much. But if you're looking for a well located, comfortable and very pleasant hotel, I highly recommend the Roosevelt. I'll be back.
