It was my 9th time visiting Lima, Peru and that was my worst check-in experience by far. I asked for an early-check-in, not to be charged, as I had booked a king size bed suite, not a regular room, for the week and had arrived earlier. I understand that’s customary though not compulsory. The receptionist, called Jonathan, informed me that there were suites available, but he would only let me in charging almost a full extra day. After I repeated my request, he changed what he said, saying now that cleaning personnel was not available immediately for the room, and offered me instead that I could the restroom on the lobby or at the gym to take a shower. I also felt racial bias undertones in his manners. It was a simple request, made for someone who’s staying a business week at a suite. It should not be complicated. Really disappointed. I’m not recommending this hotel for anyone, nor I’ll book it in any future trip.
