All'hotel Clarance, anche se in bassa stagione ci hannocircondato di attenzioni. Dall'autista che ci ha prelevati alla stazione di Lille Europe e ci ha permesso di scoprire i siti di nostro interesse storico e contemporaneo, alle madeleines del loro pasticcere che ci rendevano il rientro in camera gradevole. Silenzioso, curato e con un personale davvero simpatico.

Comodissima la corte interna dove parcheggiare l'auto, in pieno centro è un vero lusso. Accoglienza discreta, quasi asettica... Camera ampia e bagno discreto. Per l'aria condizionata dovrete accontentarvi di un climatizzatore portatile... Colazione ottima e adeguata alla classe dell'albergo. Ottima struttura ma alcuni dettagli andrebbero decisamente migliorati, siamo in un 5 stelle...

Not worth the price we paid. Bathroom was a mess with broken light, shower, door etc. We are not used to having these issues in a 5 star hotel. Our room, nor the hall nor the stairs were vacuumed in the 3 days we were there! Great location though.

I enjoyed my stay in Lille and at the Clarance Hotel. It is a nice, cute hotel in a good location, and the staff is super friendly and attentive.

We spent two nights in Lille at the Clarance almost as an afterthought as part of our trip to Amsterdam. Those two days ended up being among the highlights of our vacation. The Clarance was a delightful place to stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful, speaking enough English that we could communicate well. We loved the 5 course dinner at the restaurant. It was fresh and inventive without being flashy.

A boutique hôtel. The location is excellent. Friendly staff. Rooms are OK, not great and the restaurant IMO is overrated and too provincial. But as I said, the staff is excellent, they were very accommodating and let me have a late checkout with no problem. I would love to see an upgrade of the terrace and dining area, give the chef more leeway with less chi-chi. It’s a nice place that just needs some fine tuning. Good wine list, breakfast to your room included.

It was amazing...kind staff, clean rooms, great location, breakfast is very nice. Would go there again if i visit Lille again. Easy to walk to the shops and restaurants, bars. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I was told since the hotel is old there is not air conditioning! No disclosure of that on their web site. I am adding photos of the current condition as of August 2023 of my room. My travel agent made the reservation in February 2023 hence the staff had plenty of time to make deferred maintenance improvements. The actual hotel condition does not resemble the web site photos. I was told by their employee Aurelie Vermesse I could have asked for another room after I contacted Relais & Chateaux corporate. However the property was sold out for a private party when I was there. Why would they rent this privilege room in this condition?
