Si tratta di un hotel ”classico”, ma si ottiene una cucina completamente attrezzata nella stanza che è grande se si vuole fare colazione o cucinare qualcosa facile e veloce. Il centro commerciale di Westfield è proprio dietro l'angolo, con un incredibile Carrefour, è stato un ottimo soggiorno, le signore al mio check-in sono state molto utili, perché ho avuto problemi con le mie carte di pagamento. Non posso dire lo stesso per un uomo che lavorava la sera, che non era del tutto interessato alla mia umile richiesta di un apritore di bottiglia che stranamente non era fornito abbastanza nella cucina. L'hotel si presenta con una storia di sicurezza o solo una falsa bla-bla solo perché non vogliono ammettere che non puoi portare la bottiglia nella stanza ma dovresti comprarle il vino. Un'altra cosa che potevano migliorare è la pulizia del bagno, del bagno e del pavimento della stanza. Non mi sbagli: non erano visivamente sporchi. Ma si potrebbe sentire che erano stati ”svuoti” indelicatamente, solo per farti credere che siano puliti. E si poteva sentire che il pavimento della stanza non era stato lavato con acqua calda e correttamente. Anche per il bagno. Posso solo visualizzare davanti ai miei occhi il lavastoviglie, che non si preoccupavano meno della precisione del loro lavoro. Ma in generale, io assolutamente dò un pollice alla proprietà e lo consiglio a chiunque voglia sperimentare la bellezza e il fascino di Lille e del nord della Francia!

E' a circa 20 minuti a piedi da Lill Europe, ma la strada è stupida, quindi non è facile trascinare il vettore.

Il personale maschile era molto amichevole quando sono andato.L'ostello era pulito e bello.
Ma la doccia e il bagno erano un po' mancanti, e l'acqua scorreva.
La mattina dopo, la donna era così sconvolta.
Buona per un giorno o due viaggi.

si trova al secondo piano, in un palazzo che sembra più un cinema che un hotel.. Il personale è gentile e molto disponibile, la colazione dalle 7 alle 10 costa 19 € a persona, quindi non l’ho provata.. La posizione è decisamente centrale ci sono alcuni locali e dei ristoranti molto importanti , facendo due passi oltre alla via commerciale si arriva in tre minuti alla piazza principale.. La camera di medio piccola dimensione lo dava per un insonorizzazione eccellente … Buono il materasso ma i cuscini troppo bassi .. La doccia vista stando con amici non è il massimo per la privacy ormai vanno di moda Attenzione ai prezzi perché come c’è un piccolo avvenimento schizzano decisamente alti

Rooms hot and poorly ventilated. We We’re pleased it wasn’t summer! The bed was comfortable and linen clean and fresh. Bathroom was ok, but so small I could barely fit into it. Little room between sink and door. One smallish towel was provided per person and one of our towels had a hole in it. The toilet seat was awful. Neither the lid or the seat would stay up. Really awkward for males. Not even plastic glasses were provided in the room, so you couldn’t have a drink of water. Bar was ok but very expensive. Restaurant is a shipping container in the back yard. No doubt very cool and all that but its facilities were meagre. We ordered 2 pizzas and were warned it could be a 50 minute wait. We decided that was just about acceptable. However it took 1.5 hours to deliver our order! It might be funky and all that but it was very, very slow. In fact really poor. Staff friendly, with good English spoken throughout. Parking plentiful and it felt secure. The hotel is too far from the city centre to be convenient. We walked in twice and whilst quite a pleasant walk it is about 40 minutes. There were no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance. It wasn’t exactly cheap but OK. Overall average.

We stayed at this hotel twice: in December 2022 and in February 2024. The location might not be the most obvious (however, it takes about 8 minutes of leisurely walk to both metro stations in between which the hotel is located). The location on its own is a little bit outside of the city centre, however, you get from this hotel to the city centre rather quickly. There's a shopping centre next door, which takes half of the distance to the nearest metro station. The hotel is relatively new (I think when we were there in 2022 it just opened), therefore most things are still in a very decent shape. Both times when we stayed at this hotel, we observed that it was sparkling clean. The size of the rooms is also large by French standards, and the rooms are fairly well-equipped. The only 2 pieces of criticism that we could offer would be to replace paper cups with porcelain cups in the room (if possible) and ensure that the soap is replenished (we got a refill bottle at reception, but it would've been so much less hassle if the hotel would've put it in advance). The WiFi works well. We didn't try any breakfast at this hotel, as on both occasions we had planned brunches with friends, however. judging by the price and the looks of it as we were passing by, it would be a good value.

Due notti per lavoro a Lille, mi sono trovato molto bene! Posizione ottimale, a 15 minuti dal centro città e a pochi minuti dalle autostrade, in zona tranquilla e silenziosa. Bella struttura, grande e accogliente, staff della reception gentile e preparato. Camera molto spaziosa e pulita, non ho dato il massimo dei voti in quanto non amo la moquette e avrei preferito il box doccia alla vasca, inoltre un minibar l'avrei messo visto il livello. Ma il comfort generale è stato ottimo. Colazione davvero completa e di qualità, ottimo il ristorante con la Guinguette esterna davvero eccellente per l'atmosfera. Prezzo medio alto ma rapportato al livello e alla media della zona, lo consiglio.

An array of delights await at this hotel should you be lucky enough to have booked here. This hotel is cheap but after staying I’m surprised you aren’t paid to stay here. To say the hotel is rundown is a complete understatement. We were lucky enough to have such optional extras as a random broken piece of furniture complete with piece of wood sticking out. There were a number of questionable stains on walls, carpets and bedding which certainly filled the time trying to guess what sort of breach of human rights created them. The smell was certainly interesting, I would guess cigarette smoke from a bygone age but really who knows. The caravan style shower and bathroom was a delight, particularly when the water pressure was so poor you had to manually flush a turd away.

We picked this hotel because we were going to the Champions League between Lille and Chelsea. The location was perfect. We were about 15/20 minutes walk away. We arrived and were upgraded to a studio which had a double bed and single bed in the main bedroom and a double sofa bed in the other room. It also had self catering facilities. The hotel has a very good bar, selling 3 different beers on tap, one being 8.5 % volume! It also had a good selection of spirits. Buffet breakfast is €11 each and was well worth the money. All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially the sweet man who worked in the kitchen providing a wonderful breakfast. So happy and kept everything topped up. All in all a lovely hotel which I would thoroughly recommend, especially if you are going to the Stade Pierre Mauroy for a game or going into Lille City Centre as there is a Metro station (Cite Scienfifique) which is only 15 minutes walk away.

MMargaux LI forgot my makeup worth 300 euros there. Getting it back was so hard. I called for 3 days just to get a simple link sent to my email address and then paid 35 euros for ”fast” shipping, which wasn't fast at all. When I finally got my package, almost everything was gone—just a deodorant and one makeup brush were left. It’s obvious my things were stolen by someone at the hotel. When I called, I was left with no acceptable answer and could not even speak to the manager on shift. This hotel doesn’t care about you or your stuff. They didn’t even say sorry. Don’t stay at Hotel Barriere. There are more honest places that will respect you and your things.

This was only a one night stay as we were heading back via the Eurostar. As it happens, we couldn’t have picked a better place as we had a great time there and felt we are well prepared for our onward journey. It is a 10 minute easy walk from the train station and our welcome at Reception was warm and friendly. In fact, the gentleman from Seville was a star throughout our whole stay and helped us a lot. The room was far more comfortable than we expected and had everything you need for a great night. The air conditioning was excellent which was important in the heat and we had a terrific night sleep. There are a few rooms with balconies but we didn’t manage to get one. As it was only for one night that didn’t matter but it may be worthwhile requesting if you get chance. The Wi-Fi was free for unlimited devices and really high quality. We would, without doubt, stay in this hotel again should we be back in town.

UUtente ospiteThe hotel is excellently located opposite the main train station where the Eurostar arrived. The area was very quiet and also within walking distance to pretty much everything we needed to see so we walked everywhere and never needed public transport. The lobby of the hotel is cosy and very welcoming and the people at reception were friendly and very accommodating. The room was nice and the beds very comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that but we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The hotel is also working a very nice walk to city centre. Very safe and lively walk. The Westfield shopping mall is nearby so shopping is made easy.
Large mini suite. My son travelled with me so we had the small bed made out, but still had plenty of room.
Only thing are that the bathroom and toilet room seem prefabricated and are kind of wonky (though very functional. My son felt they felt as if we were in a train bathroom.
All and all, very nice.
*we did not eat at the cafeteria (it is not a restaurant, really).

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel una sola notte per un incontro di lavoro. Hotel vicinissimo alla stazione Lille Europe, 200 Mt a piedi, quindi molto comodo per prendere un treno o arrivare in treno. Sono arrivato in hotel tardi, intorno alle 23 e l'hotel era ancora aperto: c'è il portiere H24, questa cosa è molto importante! Non ho avuto modo di fare colazione in quanto sono partito dall'hotel alle ore 6 in avevo il treno , quindi non riesco andare un voto alla ristorazione. Per quanto riguarda l'hotel in generale, i servizi e la qualità sono nelle media di un 3 stelle, niente di eccelso. In camera trovate il kit benvenuto, bollitore e macchina per il caffè con 2 cialde. Cosa molto gradita, bravi. Per il resto, camera non molto grande, letto molto spazioso e comodo. Bagno nella media. Per la pulizia devo dire che per quel poco che ho visto l'hotel era pulito. Prezzo abbastanza alto per una notte senza colazione ma si paga ovviamente la vicinanza alla stazione. Comunque tutto nella media.

L'hotel è molto ben situato per esplorare tutto ciò che Central Lille deve offrire con le vecchie strade di pietra in pietra che producono negozi indipendenti infiniti e il nuovo centro commerciale Westfield. A pochi passi dalle stazioni ferroviarie Euro Lille e Lille Flanders e intorno al mercato di Natale. La colazione è stata occupata e servita su singoli pannelli alla tavola insieme ad altri articoli sul conto. Purtroppo non era come descritto:- non c'era nessuna camera in sicurezza e la combinazione bagno/dusche era in realtà solo un piccolo cubico doccia in quella piccola bagno. La stanza non era così grande come ci abituiamo a con una camera molto piccola intorno al letto. Poiché eravamo lì solo per tre notti, ne facevamo la maggior parte e ne riveliamo la bella città di Lille.

UUtente ospiteWe stayed here in order to go to a game at the Rugby World Cup, while this was on they tripled the charge for an overnight stay but this is true of hotels in all cities hosting an event so it was expected. The hotel is in a good location just a short walk from the old town and many bars & restaurants. There's also a supermarket around the corner for beer/wine (there's a fridge in the room) or snacks. It's also not too far from the Eurostar station which you can walk to or take the metro. The format of the bedrooms seemed to vary depending on the location, ours was on the 4th floor and had a separate shower in addition to the bath but it had no room to store flat clothes, there was only hanging space. Rooms on the 2nd floor only had a bath with a shower outlet but plenty storage room for clothes. Regardless our room was clean, quiet, well decorated and had a comfortable bed - nothing at all to complain about. It also had a safe, a large flat screen TV and good wi-fi reception. The staff on reception and in the bar were friendly and helpful. The bar was very busy while we were there but they managed to cope very well with the number of orders for both drinks and food. Drinks were on the expensive side but this is true of most hotels. Breakfast was a bit disappointing in terms of variety and quality (especially the hot items) but the bread was fresh and there was some fruit on offer. There is a courtyard area where you can sit outside in addition to the bar/breakfast areas and we found this a convenient place to sit on the last day while we were waiting for transport to go home. As it is close to Flanders we took the opportunity to book a private WW1 battlefield tour which we enjoyed. If we decide to return to do a similar tour we will certainly stay at this hotel.

UUtente ospiteOnce we located it (I would recommend NOT USING GOOGLE MAPS) it is very well located using Opera House and Apple Store as landmarks and it is close to Lille Europe. Whilst the rooms are small and the lift even smaller it is not any different in size to any other city centre hotel I have stayed in. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is perfectly adequate with freshly squeezed orange juice (you do have to request this it is not left out in the buffet area). Certainly had no complaints and would stay here again. My only small complaint is an a typical English tea drinker that the basic Thè was not available but this is a small ****** on what is otherwise a good value for money stay.

WWanderingAn excellent address for people who want to visit Lille. It is located less than a mile a way from the station. And it’s easy to get to sights.
The hostel is very clean and the service is great. A good place ran by friendly people. The breakfast is amazing by hostel standards as you get bread, cheese, ham, olives, yoghurt, cereals, hot drink and orange juice.
There are also some community activities/workshops going on, but haven’t experienced these.
