Peak Vista-Golden Peaks View Resort: Sky Garden Café & Snow Mountain Terrace (Lijiang Ancient Town)

The hotel itself was nice, and most of the staff was great, but being a western traveler I wouldn’t recommend to others, one of their employees “Joyce” or 小曹, a short girl with short hair, really ruined the hotel for us, she immediately started trying to sell us tours, we bought one to TLG and the bus that picked us up was horrible, even the Chinese passengers on board were extremely dissatisfied with the driver, the condition of the bus that nearly broke down, and the fact that they then started pestering all of the passengers on board for more money to pay for tolls. The 1.5 hour drive ended up taking closer to 3 hours. After that terrible experience she then tried scamming me by getting me to buy incredibly overpriced truffles from her friend, and giving me terrible advice about where to go eat, disparaging the restaurant selection we made; as if it was any of her business to begin with. Pretending to care about where we ate just so she could point us to a restaurant I’m sure her friend owns so she could get a kickback. This is the only time in China we had any sort of negative experience with the hotel staff, first time in any country a member of hotel staff tried to rip us off actually. Hope she enjoys the measly money she made selling us the horrible shuttle service, very unprofessional, shouldn’t be working at any hotel. She’s surely using her position at the hotel to try and make money ripping off unsuspecting tourists, especially if you’re American or European. She also would not stop messging me on WeChat bothering me the entire time we were in Lijiang. Very very annoying. Everyone else at the hotel was great and extremely friendly, but she ruined the entire experience for us and left a very sour taste in our mouths. The bathtub did not get hot and it wasn’t even secured to the ground, which was the entire reason we chose that specific room and hotel, so disappointed there too, but doesn’t come close to how aggravated we were with the scamming member of staff named 小曹 or “Joyce.” Hopefully management sees this and gets rid of the predatory practices ruining their hotel. The guys at the front, the barista and the kitchen staff were all very very friendly, hope this does not reflect poorly on them.

Hotel is clean and comfortable to stay. Just the hotel breakfast everyday also same food 😂 hotel staff is helpful and help us to order supper too

房間智能整潔，設計大氣有高級感，大屏投影看得很爽。老闆人很熱心，服務很周到，一到就安排下午茶，每晚還有銀耳甜湯，阿姨做的米線早餐也很美味。頂樓遍植花卉，天氣好的時候能看見玉龍雪山，如果日程不太滿在這喝咖啡看書觀雪山是十分愜意
