Yixing Thatched Cottage Inn (Lijiang Old Town Dashuiche Branch)

Wouldn't recommend a stay at this hotel in it's current situation. Pretty disappointing stay. Though it wasn't all bad, there were many big downsides Pros: - The staff and owners are nice and friendly (they've invited us to have tea and to chat multiple times) - The hotel helped arranged our trip to Yulong mountain at a fair price - Location is at the heart of Lijiang, being next to the ancient town and other attractions, as well as access to the road outside of the city to major attractions - The garden and the lobby at the inn is nice and comfortable Cons: - Our check-in was delayed because the cleaning staff was late 4 hours - The room constantly smells musty and mildewy, the bathroom is in poor condition - There is poor ventilation in the room - The only window faces a busy stairwell - The room decor is dated and worn - The room doesn't have a mountain view as advertised - The roof has a mountain view, but it is marred by the neighoring building's half finished construction - The staff was unfamiliar with registering foreigners to the hotel and indicated that they would ignore that procedure if we hadn't mentioned its illegality - The cleaning staff do not make regular, daily visits around midday to clean the room as would be expected - The cleaning staff barged in our room on our last morning (~8:45 AM) without knocking, believing we had already checked out - Noises in the hotel travel accross the entire hotel, including slamming doors and families having loud conversations in the stairwell at 3am - Certain basic amenities, such as hand soap, were not provided by the hotel - Organizationally, several aspects of our stay and trip to Yulong were confusing and unclear. For example, about the arrangement of the Yulong mountain guide/driver pick-up time, we had discussed it with the hotel and confirmed that we would go at 7am, only to find at 10pm, as we were drifting odf to sleep, the driver unexpectedly demanding to know when we should be picked up, changing the pick-up time to 6am - The price of the room is too high compared to what is received

客棧真的很不錯，性價比之王，絕絕子，我給我的朋友全都安利了，有露台拍照，很有感覺，而且老闆也會給你做攻略，避雷踩坑的地方和不要買的東西，也會貼心的教你搶玉龍雪山票，對不清楚自己需要幾瓶氧氣的可以在老闆娘這買氧氣瓶，用不完還可以退回，對了， 有求必應服務至上，

來雲南旅遊，第二站麗江。家人訂的麗江獨特納西風格的民宿，小院子真是太舒服了，隨處可見的花花。温度適宜，晚上盪着鞦韆吹吹小風。和老闆很聊得來，索性晚上一起在附近的火鍋店吃的飯，暢聊到凌晨3點才休息，這種感覺就像是從家裡出來，又回到了麗江的家，這次行程雖然短暫 但住的太舒服了，絕對給此行加大分。感恩遇到這麼熱情好客的老闆，推薦給朋友，有機會一定再來！
