Trail's End Motel Downtown Lewistown

Nothing was unique about the property. I would not recommend this hotel. The price was about the only good thing.

I thought I had booked a room at another hotel in town but came to realize I didn’t. The only room I could find was at the Trails End. I wish I wouldn’t have looked so hard as this place was, how should I put it, not the nicest. I’ve been traveling for business for over 14 years and this by far has been my worst experience. In addition to being not the nicest it cost $238 for the night. Live and learn.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Seriously, unless you have zero other options... This place is disgusting. The other reviews aren't lying. There are stains everywhere on everything. There is so much dust build-up on the 'decor' that there are likely families of mites nestled within that have lived there for years. The bathroom sink doesn't drain. The towels are terrifyingly disgusting. Not only were they yellowed, but every one we pulled out had staining... one looked like someone had just washed their makeup off with it. The shower is literally the smallest shower I've ever seen in any place I've ever stayed. The floor of the shower is crushed in. There's no trim or baseboard. The remote had dust and hair on it, and the TV only got one channel. The Styrofoam coffee cups had hair in them. The bed had what I hope to God was multiple rust stains on the sheets. The pillowcases looked like they'd been chewed on by mice. Coffee maker had water in the reservoir. The chair had stains. The carpet was stained. The wood floor was stained. And we paid $225 freaking dollars to sleep here. $50 would have been more appropriate and would have set the expectation level a lot lower than $225. Desperation can be expensive. Never again. Zero out of Ten would not recommend. Buy a tent. Sleep in your car. Just don't stay here.
