We decided to use the leisure facility if you can call it that I was told no towels by reception so he got one from another room asi again expressed I was not happy. I was tetchy as I had driven from Worcestershire to Cornwall then to Brighton.
I asked about the steam room and sauna which he pointed us to. He said steam room needed to follow instructions and it was quick to turn on. I said OK. When we got to the sauna it was cold and turned off by this point and having seen the state of the facilities I was way past been pissed off on this. I was also feeling bad as I wanted my son to relax before his audition in the morning. The steam room heated up in 5/10 mins so used that which was nice. The spa bath was not hot at all and for some reason stones in the swimming pool possibly for effect. The pictures of the leisure facility show the state of disrepair.

Never been to such a disgusting room in my life, how they have the nerve to let this room out was beyond me, the carpet was dated filthy and lumpy, pillows stains all over them, broken chair, chipped mugs, the list goes on, they should have paid us £92 to stay there, I wouldn’t let a dog stay there, needless to say we did not stay and we have to get in touch with yourselves for a refund

We arrived Thursday lunchtime. Parking a bit awkward but sorted Our room was ready which was early, it was newly opened late last yr and what a fantastic place, we were upgraded (thankyou so much) had booked in online and our room was beautiful, comfortable,as with rest of hotel ,beams throughout, decore is lovely, nice touch to have a selection of petit fours in room for us which were wonderful. Friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful welcome received. Dinner in a beautiful restaurant. Food was excellent, lovely flavours and excellent service by staff .great choice of cocktails. Breakfast next morning was quite and again great service and great breakfast choice . Only gripe was a guy was painting the doors /windows so had a smell of paint which wasn't great. All in all a wonderful overnight stop and we will be back. Thanks to all staff and managers for a delightful stay

Came for Sunday Lunch , thoroughly enjoyed , the decor is superb , we were shown to a table in the lighter part of the dinning room , given the option of sitting on the Terrance , despite the early March Sun , still tad chilly ( but when I return in the summer outside is a must ) we both choose the Pate , followed by the roast beef , just succulent and presentation superb, every me member of staff were professional and enthusiastic , the deserts looked very inviting but had eaten enough , maybe if I was being picky a small gravy boat as well , but honestly a excellent occasion....oh the choice of wines highly comprehensive , it was busy so booking is advisable , I plan to return !!...

Really lovely hotel with great attention to detail. Stylish and comfortable bedroom and lovely bathroom with amazing water pressure, friendly staff. Welcoming to dogs and good restaurant. Really enjoyed it. parking is a little tricky.

We had a birthday celebration and a short stay at the White Hart Hotel in February. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. We love the style and the ambience and would definitely stay again. We did have a minor issue but Angelo sorted everything out both professionally and efficiently and made our stay even more enjoyable. Top marks to the whole team. We will definitely go back when we get the chance. Thank you 🙏🏽

First the good: Evening staff were excellent and the welcome felt genuine. It could have been the great experience I hoped it to be. However... there was some kind of air-freshener or carpet cleaner or something used in our room which was simply hideous - like rancid feet. I ignored it and slept because I was so tired, but waking early the next morning I had to go and sit in the empty bar area at 5am because it was stinging my eyes and nose. Absolutely horrific experience. The room was noisy too - over the bar area - but again, I was so tired I slept using the earplugs supplied. To be charged over 200 for a room that made me want to leave Lewes first thing next morning, and never come back, is pretty shabby.

We were 6 friends celebrating a birthday so we were lucky to be offered a glass of Prosecco. There was also an offer of 50% of the main meal if we had 2 courses. The food was excellent as was the wine and service. The staff were really efficient and friendly. We are planning to go back twice in March with other friends to celebrate. The restaurant is spacious, bright and airy and nicely decorated to create a relaxed atmosphere.
