It's quite a feat to find a sprawling, interesting characterful building and turn it into a sterile, drab and joyless hotel. Let's give IHG the benefit of the doubt as this is 'work in progress' as they transition to a Voco hotel. The staff are excellent and the buffet breakfast perfectly acceptable. And the saving grace is thaet there are two decent pubs within a 10 minute walk. Just north of £100 for the night, so I'm not complaining.

Letchworth Garden City is full of character - from the 1920's Spirella Building (an old corset factory) to the quirky Letchworth Cloisters. While you're in town, browse for a bargain in Garden Square shopping centre, take the kids to meet their farmyard favorites at Standalone Farm or catch a flick at the art deco Broadway Cinema. Plus, if you fancy popping into the capital, you're just a train ride away from the bright lights of central London. Once you've explored to your heart's content, head back to our Premier Inn Letchworth Garden City hotel for dinner in Thyme restaurant and a great night's sleep in your ultra comfortable Hypnos bed.

My husband & I had our wedding here on the 12th July; ceremony & reception in the ballroom. We booked the Broadway back in October. From the start, Agnieska was fantastic at helping organise the day with all the little details, keeping in touch very regularly. We selected the hot carvery package which was excellent for 65 guests. We had family & friends travelling distance, and all managed to get booked in for 2 nights. We had use of the honeymoon suite, which was decorated with rose petals, and there was a lovely bouquet of flowers & box of chocolates left for us. The day went very smoothly, staff couldn’t have been more helpful in ensuring a room was available early for myself, mum & bridesmaids to have our make up done & get ready. Ourselves, family & friends were extremely well looked after. Everyone was happy with their rooms & quality of the breakfast. We would certainly recommend the Broadway as a wedding.
