Carayou Hôtel & Spa

About our stay in Caraiyou… The place is wonderful, green and ”beachy” but the service sucks… We went there for our first night of honeymoon… this was explicitly informed while the booking was done. The lady for the hotel informed that they would prepare a honeymoon service in the room. We also asked for a late checkout so we could rest the day and profit of the swimming pool and the beach (we wanted to pay for it of course) and it was said that we should request that the day we arrived which we had no problem with it… Our arrival date came and as it was our reception party we arrived about 15mins before the last time of checking in… We were received with a cold reception and the receptionist was kind of “lost” on her duties… and as we asked for the late check, she said that she couldn’t do it only her colleague in the morning… we were disappointed, but we trusted that in the next day we could get the desired the check out… Arriving to the room… we’ve noticed NO HONEYMOON SERVICE!! 😒😡😤 We started verifying the room and everything is old and outdated, the air conditioning has water drop… ahh and we’ve asked for a sea view and we got a glimpse of it in the corner of the balcony🙄 Next day, we woke up early, as the breakfast os only until 09:30 and no room service option to take it in bed… after breakfast, I’ve headed to the reception to ask for the late checkout, for my surprise the receptionist said : if you’d asked earlier… 😳 an I’ve said, that we did while doing the booking, receptionist said that they were full and that they could only give us 1:30 more… 😓 The disappointment was so that we left earlier… In my opinion, the hotel has a lot of good assets that are not being used… the employees need to have a training how to well receive guests, how to sell their services. Also I’ve felt a little deceived as I would prefer that it was said to me right away that there was no late checkouts and I would maybe decide to go somewhere else… Important to say that there is also the need of modernization of services, it’s like they’ve stayed in the 80s which is not very attractive…old decoration, old furniture, linens ants in the bedroom..😬🙄😕. Maybe if you are coming on vacations it will not be as bad… but in Martinique there are a lot of other very nice hotels, less expensive and with an impeccable service! Where you can happily have your deserved vacation! If you don’t want to be disappointed, don’t choose Carayou Hotel & Spa !

Rooms are spread over a large area of tropical gardens, with plants identified with markers for those interested. Rooms are large and comfortable, but there is no coffee available in the rooms. Meals are served buffet style in a large hall, with breakfast included, but other meals for additional but reasonable cost. Lots of choices on the menu. There is a small beach, and two pools. A catamaran offering cruises docks at the hotel. A marina nearby has a number of restaurants and shops, and is the place to catch a boat to Fort de France in place of a cab, and for a much lower price. The guests are mostly French.

Un séjour dans l’ensemble agréable. Hôtel sympathique où nous n’avons eu aucun problème particulier. Petits détails l’accueil à l’aéroport est peut-être à améliorer. Tony avait disparu et on a eu un moment de doute. Ensuite à l’arrivée le soir à l’hôtel après 8h d’avion il n’y a personne pour vous porter les valises dans les chambres (étage) comme partout généralement. Concernant le code wifi on ne vous le donne pas spontanément. Pour finir le représentant Lookéa est scotché dans son bureau et même si il est serviable il faut toujours aller à sa rencontre. Les chambres sont vastes, très jolies, style tropical, colorées et vastes. Seul le sol carrelage est moche. Chambre calme en bout de bâtiment avec vue mer et au loin la baie de Fort de France. On a bien dormi. Bonne literie. Aucun souci technique. Le hic absence de frigo et de bouilloire. Merci pour l’unique bouteille d’eau. Points d’eau dans le parc. Salle de bains pratique avec vaste douche. Femmes de chambre très sympas et astucieuses. Réception/accueil de l’hôtel présente et aidante. Plage de l’hôtel très petite mais belles plages aux alentours. Les 2 piscines du club sont prises d’assaut. Animation ok et appréciée. Animateurs au top. Nourriture bonne, variée avec choix de plats locaux. Excellent petit déjeuner mais horaires du matin trop courts. Un détail, au bar en all inclusive certaines boissons ne sont pas comprises dans le forfait. On est limités. Pas correct le truc. Le spa Joséphine et ses massages est parfait. Et enfin l’hôtel est dans un beau parc fleuri. On est à proximité de la Marina et de ses avantages touristiques. Bémol quand il y a des sargasses c’est la paralysie et par exemple la navette pour Fort de France ne peut pas fonctionner. Dans l’ensemble bonnes vacances. Bon potentiel. Gens locaux gentils. On a cependant été un peu surpris par la clientèle qui malgré le prix du séjour un peu élevé, nous a semblé ordinaire au moment où nous y étions. Bonnes vacances de toute façon.

Horrible, à fuir . Tellement déçu. Payer plein pot pour un hôtel , délabrée, sale et dangereux ! Attention, les photos du site ne sont plus à jour. Il est actuellement en travaux est heureusement. il en avait besoin depuis longtemps je pense.

Actuellement à l hôtel. Personnel,agréable et très gentil au petit soin.la chambre de 25 mètre carré et suffisante pour 2 personnes. Toilette séparé. Salle de bain spacieuse. + clim... Repas excellent, matin,midi,soir. Hôtel très propre. Cadre magnifique à côté de la mer. Avec 2 piscines. Petit village créole à la sortie de l'hôtel Avec toutes commodités. Marina a côté de l hôtel avec divers excursions et ballades en mer. Pour les personnes qui veulent venir ne restez pas sur les avis négatifs... Je reviendrai.....Pas de soucis François

Hôtel situé près du village des 3 ilets, à l'anse mitant. Acceuil sympathique. Chambres confortables et correctement équipées mais un peu vieillottes. Le restaurant buffet est correct sans plus. Les produits proposés sont simples et correctement préparés. Idem pour le buffet petit-déjeuner. Seul bémol durant notre séjour : le bar.... Acceuil très moyen (on a la fâcheuse impression d'embêter le barman...). Choix trés restreint pour les all inclusive : bière, rhum, soda et cocktail du jour. Oubliez mojito ou cacahuètes ou autre pour l'apéro....trop compliqué. Bref, Hôtel bien situé pour explorer cette superbe Martinique.
