Hotel in zona Sola Irrigation Canal Trail, Les Escaldes

Proprio vicino all'edificio iconico di Andorra, anche al centro urbano standard e al punto di partenza della strada a piedi, il ”orologio distorto”, le parole di entrambi sono molto emotive e non importa se una persona prenota una stanza con terrazza.La stanza è grande.La colazione è buona, ci sono diversi tipi di uova da scegliere, Non capisco, dico che è buono, cambiato ogni giorno.La reception è entusiasta, tutti gli europei lo fanno.La stanza ha un po'di acqua calda.La sotto l'orologio è il fiume che non può essere chiamato, il flusso di ricci, la stagione dei fiori è bella, e la stagione dei fiori è molto bella. Camminare fino alla famosa calda tenda di sopra, e anche l'architettura iconica di Andorra per dieci minuti.

This was a one night visit, travelling from Barcelona to Andorra la Vella by Alsa bus. The hotel is approx 12 minute walk from the bus station, located in a busy shopping street surrounded by duty free stores, perfumeries etc. The entrance to the hotel is between shops. Their are a number of pizza parlours located within a 5 minute walk, and their is a McDonalds just 2 minutes walk up the hill. Check-in was professional and quick by the only lady on duty. She offered great extra advice on shopping, pharmacies etc. The hotel is linked by bridge and lift to the Novotel and Mercure, which is where the breakfast room/restaurant/bar is located. Their is a lounge area in the Andorra Palace but never saw anyone there. Their are two very handy vending machines - one with snacks etc..one for hot drinks (important as their are no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. My room was located on the first floor. Their are two lifts, and a rather tight set of stairs. The overall decor of the public areas is rather dated. My allocated room was a twin room overlooking the main road. However, i did not hear any traffic or pedestrian noise from outside, so the double glazing works extremely well. The room decoration was again dated - especially the bathroom in heavy brown tile. However, the room was absolutely spotless clean - they certainly have a good cleaning crew at the hotel. Their was a flat screen tv, but no fridge or tea/coffee making facilities (so do make a note where the vending machines are). I slept reasonably well as the beds were comfortable. Breakfast is available in the restaurant over at the Novotel/Mercure. I had purchased a room rate including breakfast, which was considerably lower than the breakfast price being charged by Novotel/Mercure. Note that three hotels using one restaurant means it can be extremely busy at certain times - especially at breakfast. Their was plenty of hot and cold items, bakery, juices etc. My only disappointment was their was no 'english breakfast' type tea - but plenty of other types if you like camomile for breakfast! The restaurant also does an evening buffet, which seems to start late at 8pm of an evening. The cost varies depending on the night. I did not use the evening buffet, so cannot comment on the quality. If i had been staying more than one night, I would have probably booked a better standard of hotel less dated. However, for one night, it was perfectly adequate for my needs.

Piacere, è che la stanza non ha denti e denti.Ma le strutture ambientali sono in una posizione fantastica.

L'hotel è come un hotel straniero in Cina negli anni '90. L'attrezzatura e l'arredamento sono relativamente vecchi, ma è abbastanza pulito. Il condizionatore è rumoroso. Buona posizione e molto centro città, molto vicino alla via dello shopping commerciale, a circa 5 minuti a piedi, molto comodo. Abbiamo 2 anni e 3 anni. Abbiamo insistito per aggiornare la nostra camera quando siamo arrivati alla reception. Fortunatamente, non era costoso per meno di 13 euro a notte, e non ci siamo preoccupati di discutere con lui. Di conseguenza, la camera di categoria superiore aveva tre letti singoli.

Ho trascorso alcune settimane presso questo hotel, situato nel cuore di Andorra, a pochi passi dalla zona dello shopping e dal centro. Hotel elegante, camere curate e confortevoli, ottimo il breakfast con un misto di prodotti anche locali che aiutano a scoprire i sapori di Andorra. Il personale si e’ dimostrato sempre attento, disponibile e sopratutto sorridente e affabile, un vero piacere aver soggiornato da voi. Desidero ringraziare Eric Surana e Agustina del ricevimento per la simpatia, cortesia e professionalità, e Julio per essere stato onnipresente e sempre estremamente disponibile con noi. Modern hotel in walking distance to spa, shopping, and restaurants . The superior rooms are above the river, shielded from traffic noise. Of, course, you need to like the sound of wild gushing water. The superior rooms have spacious tubs in addition to walk-in shower with rain fall head. Good selection of toiletry items, though some body lotion would have been nice. Ample breakfast choices, pastries, eggs, local cheeses, fruit, etc. However, nothing appropriate for brewing black tea. The water from the coffee maker is far from boiling, and there are neither teapots nor mugs to brew your tea. The waitress saw the point of the smallish coffee cups but couldn't help out. If you book via a platform and not directly in the hotel, there is a modest local tax to be paid.

I know that a review has to be balanced, and therefore it is probably best to start with the positives. The hotel location is spectacular, the swimming pool is decent and the grounds are well kept. Upon arrival, the reception staff were friendly and helpful. After that, there are huge problems with the hotel. The room is tired looking, with a slight musty smell and decor in need of an upgrade. The bed is an old wooden number that has seen better days and creaks like a pirates galleon. The room is boiling hot, with no functional air control. It has, thus far, been one of the worst nights sleep of my life. However, the main thing to avoid is the restaurant. For dinner, the kitchen serves a grand total of 5 dishes - 3 starters and 2 mains (pork and salmon - vegans should count themselves lucky not to be catered for). For starter, I had a ‘focaccia’ that was essentially a thick, tasteless doorstop bread of the type my bad grammar school used to serve to keep us sedated. This was covered in a layer of greasy cheese-adjacent substance and what could generously be described as ‘ham’. My wife had a goats (‘gods’ according to the menu, though what kind of benevolent deity would have inflicted this meal upon His children remains to be seen) cheese parcel. The parcel was about as well received as an Amazon Prime delivery that has been booted over next door’s fence. Onto the main, and the ‘pork’ was fatty and undercooked, served with a few slices of poorly fried potato that seemed to subliminally scream the word ‘sorry’. My wife’s salmon was an insult to a fishes’ memory - slimy and unappealing, tossed carelessly on some tired lettuce and a few beetroot cubes. The price of €25 per person may have been reasonable if that was the amount we were being paid to eat it. The most ridiculous part of the evening though was the service. About 10 waiters hovered around the dining room, a number that seems high until you realise that a separate team member performs each task. Drinks and bread was one waitress. Ordering food was a waiter. Delivery of the starter was another waiter. Another waitress collected the plates. Another brought the cutlery for the main. Another brought the main. Another dressed in a full bomb disposal suit delivered the bill. After a while it becomes obvious that it is a strategy to diminish responsibility through collectivisation - it’s like a philosophical conundrum- if a crap meal is served but no one actually served it, did it really happen? Unfortunately for us, the answer is yes, and I still have ten hours trying to sleep in this unbearable inferno. On this occasion, rather than ‘gods’ cheese, I suspect that both the meal and the room have been designed by the other guy…

L'hotel lo conosco da molti anni e mi hanno ricevuto come cliente che sono stato, ci hanno dato una buona camera la parte 5 stelle, ma non per prenotare attraverso Trip. Inoltre prenota una stanza e poi li mi hanno fatto pagare una seconda persona, con un supplemento per mia moglie, e questo per me è di cattivo gusto. Siete dei cattivi. La stanza che ci hanno dato non usciva acqua calda e la colazione separata era per me caro 18 e. Quindi ho scelto di scendere un giorno. Mi hanno detto che erano 9 e ma non è stato così. L'hotel è molto buono, ma ci siamo riusciti a non andare, ma credo che ce ne andremo di nuovo, perché gli intermediari sono inefficaci, e vedranno chi prende il tontin.

L'hotel è molto buono, cena e colazione deliziosa. Situato in una splendida valle, nel villaggio di Serrat. Desidero sottolineare l'attenzione del cameriere argentino Franco, che con un sorriso permanente e una grande predisposizione ci ha fatto sentire come a casa sia a cena che a colazione. Grazie Franco!
