LE MAS D'AIGRET Hôtel Restaurant

We had no knowledge of this area so we were pleasantly surprised by the beautifully imposing Chateau des Baux-de-Provence and the village. The ground of La Mas d’Aigret is modest but very beautifully done. Diner at the hotel was fantastic (not much else around from what i could tell so book ahead) and the pool and terrace were a very nice spot to relax and recharge. Easily walkable to the Baux-de-Provence site and petite village. We went early so we had a nice walk and exploration of oth few people. We would definitely make time for the Carrière des Lumières next time. I also highly recommend stopping into Castelas for olive oil tastings and shopping. So good it was hard to choose!

A beautiful location, in a short walking distance to the heart of Les Baux-de-Provence, with stunning views from the hotel. The historical building has retained the best of its authenticity while offering elegant and comfortable premisses. The double room was cozy, full of charm, with a great view on the olive groves; however, it was very small, which presented a challenge for two medium size suitcases. Luckily, the small balcony accessed by French doors gave some room for extra space. Bedroom and bathroom are elegantly decorated with comfortable bedding and all expected amenities. The outside restaurant is beautiful, and the menu offers a small range of French and Provencial meals of high quality, both in taste and presentation. The breakfast buffet is set inside the restaurant that is quite impressive. Guests can choose to have breakfast outside or inside. The buffet was generous, offering a diversity of local products of excellent quality. The swimming pool is inviting in a beautiful setting. The staff was courteous, helpful and professional always. While French regulations permit smoking in outside areas of hotels and restaurants, we found it quite disturbing to have smokers around tables while we had dinner, and on the balconies of their rooms that were adjacent to ours, also around the swimming pool. We would like to recommend the hotel owner/manager to encourage guests to be more mindful of non-smokers in the entire space. Such recommendation could be included in the house rules.

property is gorgeous...room was very nice...but there were strange worms crawling around. I threw out about 20. Dinner was awful....very poor menu.

First, if you go to France, go to Les Beaux Des Provence; then stay at this enchanting hotel. The grounds are gorgeous, the owners and staff are warm and welcoming and the food is so delicious you will want to stay here forever. (Make sure to try the piseou soup—-heavenly!). The views from this hotel are stunning and utterly captivating. The hotel is but a ten minute walk from the village of Les Beaux des Province. My husband and I were so seduced by this wonderful place that we intend to return many more times starting in April/May of2025. Usually, after a trip merely of five days we are ready to fly back to our own lovely home in Southeast Tennessee, but not this time. This place made us want to stay forever. Please—-treat yourself to this wonderful hotel.

Very cool place to stay. Right by the chateau and luminiere. Can walk to both. Hotel had wonderful staff, delicious food, beautiful pool. Highly recommend !

I found this hotel through my trusty Rick Steves France Guidebook. We took a taxi as we had no vehicle and it was about a 40 Euro ride from the train station. It actually took my breath away. I almost have tears in my eyes just remembering the incredible experience here. Pictures do not do it justice. We booked the suite that had rock walls and a bed frame made of willows. Our bed, pillows, in fact every single thing was perfect. The air conditioning was very nice. Not noisy or blowing too hard. We met the owner, a lady originally from The Netherlands. They had an outdoor restaurant for breakfast and supper. We had breakfast there the one morning. So lovely and supper outside as well. It almost felt surreal at times. The grounds were so incredible. It was a day without a cloud in the sky and we went into the pool and just kind of had a lazy day. I put my arms up and with a view of Les Baux behind, words just cannot describe. I will never ever forget the time my husband and I spent 2 wonderful days here. The staff were so helpful as well. A truly authentic French experience and walking out back, you could walk to Les Baux to tour, eat and shop. We tried to plan the entire trip without staying in any big cities and stayed in smaller places. Like I said, I will never forget it. Thank you so much for making my dream become a reality! ❤️
