We have just returned from a stay at this hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff are such a credit to this place, they were all without exception incredibly helpful and polite. On arrival, our room had been upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was lovely (room 101). We had perfect views over the mountains. The room was very spacious with a large kitchen dining area (this was well equipped), a sofa bed, a separate bedroom with double bed, bathroom, and separate toilet. There was LOADS of storage space. There were also two very large balconies - we did not really use them but in warmer weather there is a large outside table on one of the balconies. Toiletries are Rituals, coffee, tea, and milk are restocked. Oh and the room was very, very clean and all in good order. The breakfast was good and as you would expect. There is a buffet including hot drinks, juices, breads, cheeses, ham, smoked salmon, cereals, fruit, pastries, plus eggs (including pancakes) to order. We ate most nights in the restaurant and it was very good. It is a good idea to book times on arrival. There is good heated storage for skis and boots that is accessed using your room card. We found this to be spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children (skiers). There is a small wellness area with sanarium, sauna, showers, indoor beds, and outdoor hanging chairs. It was quiet when I visited at 5pm-ish. The hotel is on a blue run - well, two runs in fact, a nursery blue run with a button lift and the main blue run back to the Steinbergbahn. This has a very short section between the hotel and the main gondola that is only a little steep, the children could snowplough down this after their first day of ski school. We did ski them down to the Steinbergbahn mid station after three days of ski school but not all the way back to the hotel (the bottom sections of the mountain are a little steeper than the top but perhaps they would have been ok). So you can ski in and ski out on the main blue run if you are not a complete beginner. There is a ski school near the Steinbergbahn, but most ski schools start at the Asitzbahn station. You can ride the gondolas up and down (or take a taxi). There is easy ski equipment hire at both main gondolas. The staff at the hotel were very helpful in sharing this information before we stayed. We also walked to the KrallerAlm one evening (5 minutes across the snow) for dinner (also very nice) and to watch the hut jumping. Overall, everything was perfect. We were sad to leave and would be very happy to go back again. Thank you to all the staff.
