Stayed here after the Suffolk Coast Path 50k and ate there in the evening. Sat in the Snug which was a nice. Staff were very attentive and got our order quickly which was good as daughter was hangry. Start with bread and olives which were delicious. For the main my wife had the rump steak, daughter had children’s spaghetti and I had nachos. My wife said the steak was the best steak she’d ever had, my daughter loved the spaghetti which was a generous portion for a child and came with garlic focaccia and the nachos were delicious. We ordered some extra chips (I had run 50k that day!) and they were very nice. The waiter recommended a lager - flint eye - which was really nice, and we’d never drink before. My daughter and I had Belgian waffles for dessert, which were very nice. We were then able to sit and play cards for a while before heading up to bed. Room was very nice and clean. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so nice.

Forget sleeping, my room was above the bar where a live band was playing and the sound vibrated upwards through the floor boards. Had I known this I would not have booked. It was overpriced for not being able to get a decent nights kip! The only saving grace was that the food was lovely.

The staff were really quite friendly but the food was very beige and microwaved which was so disappointing as wetherspoons would serve up a much better or similar meal at half the price. We were expecting a much fresher meal. So disappointed but no one even asked us how our meal was so couldn't give them our feedback.

Visit to Leiston to play county bowls and stopped for a meal on the way home. Good menu, reasonable price, good selection of beers and very friendly staff. The ladies selected the scampi and chips and the men rare rump steaks and chips. Well presented and tasty food. Plenty of parking space.

My daughter and I devoured the most delicious burgers at The White Horse Hotel this evening. 🍔💙 Stacked with crisp lettuce, perfectly melted cheese, creamy garlic sauce, tangy relish and chunky rashers of bacon. This burger tastes as good as it looks. My daughter doesn’t like coleslaw…. Well… she does now! 😂 The homemade coleslaw was crunchy, not too onion-y and my daughter even decided to finish mine to my surprise. Wonderful service from Harry and his delightful choice of trousers. Thank you very much, we shall be coming back for dinner soon! x

Hotel looks a little tatty from the outside but clearly a lot of work has been done to the dining room and bar areas which were lovely and I understandfurther work planned. Stayed one night - room was overpriced at but clean, bed not too comfortable, shower needs an upgrade, as did the bathroom generally. Tea and coffee making stuff in the room but perched in front of the TV so would have been impossible to watch TV without moving tray onto the floor. Breakfast was not included in the price but there was a good choice, and good standard, marred only by being charged for coffee (and then no free refills) as no reference to beverage costs on the breakfast menu - so that must be an easy fix. Dinner was good and I would recommend it. Generous portion sizes and good quality ingredients. Puddings were great - photo of cheesecake which was homemade

It may not look much from the outside, but as the title suggests this is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. We were in Room 4 - top floor facing out towards the pelican crossing (I got bored of the beep beep beep very quickly, but fortunately not many people use it during the twilight hours). Every single bit of metal highly polished, not a single smear on any tap, pane of glass,, mirror, light switch plate or metal trim. All recent décor - and the fan/light "spaceship" was a nice modern touch too - although I did have to go back downstairs to find out how to turn it off as there's no obvious switch on the walls - it's all controlled by a wee remote. The smart TV is huge too (in this room). A very good stay and great night's sleep.

Stayed for a friends party. Room was okay but tv was minuscule and you could hardly see it. Had lunch which was nice and food before we went to party was nice too. Good and hot bar service was good but room was very hot but beds were comfy. All in all 7/10 and would stay again.

We visited for a Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Food was tasty and hot and served by a very friendly lady and young girl. Price wise I’d say about average nowadays. Desserts were delicious! I would highly recommend and will be returning to sample more of the menu
