Showcase Apartments - Kimberley House

Dreadful. Not as marketed. Room smelt of cigarette smoke, was offered an alternative that stunk of bleach so much that was obviously covering up another smell. Left after 40 minutes. Was refunded first nights stay and refunded deposit immediately and offered a free night in the future - kind gesture but didn’t feel safe or secure in the 40 mins I spent booking other accommodation in the cigarette stenched room. Staff polite and respectful but accommodation truly terrible.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY STAYING HERE! We stayed here for one night and were met with a long list of problems: The general cleanliness of the apartment was extremely poor, with multiple marks on all walls, and especially evident staining on the living area wall. Rips and large stains on the bedding. Lots of fungi build up in the shower area. No cutlery provided despite having an oven and hob. The glasses provided had cracks down them. Bathroom tiles and living room floor boards were loose. Dining chairs were falling apart. Bedroom wardrobe was falling forwards with nails sticking out the back of it Although stated there would be, no towels were provided (despite being 40 degrees outside and all needing showers). When we re-requested for these at check-in, they arrived almost 2 hours after arrival by which point we had to leave for our evening out. We have tried to contact management several times via email and phone calls after conversations we had with the manager during our stay where we expressed the issues we had. We have been ignored and provided with no resolution or even an apology for the conditions we were staying in. On occasions when we have got through on the phone and gave the name our booking was under, we got told by the staff member on the phone that they couldn't help and that the manager was busy before abruptly ending the call. I'd avoid staying here at all costs and go somewhere much cleaner and with friendlier and more understanding staff.

Good location for walking around central Leicester. The proprietor was very pleasant and helpful. The apartment was clean with well equipped kitchen. Convenient for a two night stay. Utility rather than luxurious.
