The Lakes by Yoo ★★★★

"We stayed in a beautiful two bedroom chalet called Greenfinch on a smaller lake. It was utter bliss waking up to the peaceful lake. The air conditioning saved us in the recent heatwave. The beds were so comfortable and the house had been styled beautifully. I think we were lucky on this as some are not styled well because they’re all privately owned and then rented out so check carefully which one you’re getting. The resort has to sort out staffing. Guest services had one person working so they don’t answer the phone or answer emails quickly. The manger apologised. The restaurant is good - the menu for breakfast and dinner is great and the food is excellent. The food service is quick but the drinks service horribly slow. They were constantly overwhelmed by orders. There were 5 people behind the bar and the restaurant quiet but somehow they couldn’t keep up. They wouldn’t serve food or drinks outside several times because they said they were too busy so we had to carry our food and drinks outside which was bizarre. The debilities generally are very good. The activities fantastic: David and Matt are legends! We loved the raft building and bushcraft particularly. The padel court is good, just wish there were more. All in all, if they fix the drinks service it would be truly five stars."

New Inn Hotel ★★★

"Il personale è molto amichevole e non può fare abbastanza per voi. Il bar è pulito e così sono le camere. Siamo rimasti in camera 40, sopra il caffè che non è gestito dall'hotel. 7:00 di domenica mattina siamo svegliati da musica che sbaglio attraverso il pavimento dal caffè, la musica non si fermò finché non lasciamo la stanza. Mangiato a cena, pesce e chip, e un bicchiere e un'ala, pesce e chip erano molto carini, anche se la cucina era molto diversa; la carne era così secca che mi serviva un drink con ogni bocca, e la cucina era secca e senza sapore. Rimanerei ancora, ma insisterei che avessi una stanza diversa lontano dalla 7:00 di sveglia disaccoppiata"
