Palazzo Sambiasi B&B

This is a beautiful B&B and it felt like a privilege to stay there. We stayed in the suite which can easily accommodate 4 people. The rooms are incredibly tastefully decorated, light and airy, with no shortage of space. The suite also had its own large balcony with two seating areas and a great view. Breakfast was delivered fresh each morning into the main living room and it was enough to set you up for the day. Air conditioning is fitted in the bedrooms although we didn't need it. There is a restaurant downstairs if you dont want to venture into town. Located a slow 10 minute walk from the Duomo, it's very well situated in the town.

We loved our stay! We wanted an authentic Italian experience, not just a hotel room, and this delivered. There were just a couple of things that needed improvement, or we experienced during our stay that could be tweaked for future guests. Firstly, the 'free parking' shouldn't even be listed. It gave us the illusion that although there wasn't parking on site, there was available free parking nearby. This wasn't the case, as we had to park 10 minutes away on the street, as the car park recommended was full. Not a big thing, just something to be aware of. The breakfast food was lovely; it was a great opportunity to try local delicacies. But we would have preferred an option after a couple of days of tasting the food, to have a tick list of we'd like going forward. As half the items served to us barely got touched, and the tomato dishes were beautiful, but only came out half the time. When we did see the hosts, they were nice enough. No one really introduced themselves the day after we arrived, and in the end, I had to message Francesca regarding the air conditioning dripping in my room (which happened twice on our 5-day stay), and that was the only time I had any contact. Slightly bemused by the previous reviews about the hosts, as I felt the interaction (especially when we checked out) was quite awkward. But all in all, it's the perfect location within the historic centre of Lecce for dining, drinks, and shopping. A couple of tweaks would make this a 10/10 place to stay.

Excellent stay! We are staying at a suite, it has a big terrace and spacious. There are two bedrooms and a living room. The breakfast in the living room is beautiful and fresh. The location is excellent. It is im the middle of the old town. Will go back next time.

Very helpful staff, traditional building in the old city centre. Very close to the various historic buildings, cultural and social venues and activities. Our room was unusual with a roof top terrace providing great views of the Duomo and other parts of the city. A very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful and big rooms in a great location close to everything. Breakfast was good and staff great.Loved Lecce with it's architecture and vibe.

Beautiful building and lovely hosts. Great for a romantic getaway in Lecce. Stayed in the Duomo view room. Breakfast amazingly fresh and local. Gorgeous Leece stone house in a fabulous location in the heart of the city. Would go back again in a heartbeat.
