House of the 1800 Casa Florean is located in the historic center, the typical vaults and walls made of local Lecce stone transform the permanence into an immersive experience in the past and in the tradition of Salento. The period furnishings have been carefully chosen to maintain the style of typical Lecce houses, as well as modern comforts. My dream is to give guests an unforgettable stay in one of the most beautiful and monumental baroque cities in Italy. Casa Florean is located a stone's throw from Porta S. Biagio, the gate of Lecce looking towards the south-east and which was built in 1700 set among the ancient buildings of Lecce. At the center of Porta S. Biagio opens an immense arch that acts as a communication gateway between the two areas of Lecce, the old and the new. The facade of Porta S. Biagio is marked by double lateral columns and is richly carved with delicate and small decorations in Lecce stone, embellished by the two coats of arms of the city of Lecce and the statue of S. Oronzo at the top. Lecce is the city of churches, the closest to Casa Florean is the Church of the Mother of God and San Nicolò, also known as the Scalze Church, a baroque church of Lecce whose construction dates back to 1631 for the disposal of the patrician of Lecce Belisario Paladini . Attiguous is the former monastery of the Scalze, which was purchased in 1903 by the Salesian Sisters of the Sacred Hearts to make it the definitive seat of the general house and of the Institute for the deaf-mutes founded by St. Philip Smaldone. From Casa Florean you can reach the Duomo in just a few minutes walking along the enchanting streets of Lecce. Casa Florean is next to the train station which is less than 500 meters away. For those who reach Lecce by car there is the possibility to park outside the historic center but 100 meters from home, in via Duca degli Abbruzzi. In my opinion the recommended way to visit the enchanting Lecce is on foot and with the nose upwards. Casa Florean is not a holiday home, it is a real family home, inside there is the story of my family. Take care as if it were yours. Small accidents and distractions can happen, I ask you the courtesy to inform me in time. Thank you for the attention you will give to this house of mine, I am happy that, for the time you want, you will become yours too. Lecce VRBO This is a truly amazing property. Close to everything but quiet street. Beautiful decor, everything we needed and more. Very comfortable beds. We only wished we would have booked it for longer.

Fantastic location, amenities and property manager This is the best place we've ever stayed at, over many years of travel. Ilario, the manager, far exceeded his responsibilities, even traveling 20 miles to bring me some essentials while in a hospital when deaf husband had no means to do so. He arranged for an extended stay at another apartment when my departure was delayed. There are no words to express our gratitude for his help. The apartment had everything one could need,with very comfortable beds in both bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a washing machine (very unusual). One could easily live in this apartment for a year. We were there for a full month. It is close to public parking, stores for food and wine, and the train station, which we were dependent upon since we had no car. I hope we can return. We love Lecce and found only friendly people and a lovely town.

Beautiful apt Loved every min of this beautiful vibrant city Our host was a lovely man full of interesting history trivia , recommendations & good humour Apt was spotless , huge and the bed was very comfy and I am truly a harsh critic in that dept as I have some back issues . Highly recommend

Apartment in historical Lecce In our five weeks in Lecce, we wanted to feel like residents rather than tourists. This lovely, spacious apartment helpeð make that happen. Its ideal location in the historic town gave easy access for dining out, shopping and groceries. We would happily stay here again.

Tranquility in the historic center of Lecce The place we stayed was fantastic. High ceiling with stone walls made the home that much more special. Check in was easy.It is quiet from the historical center but close in walking distance to all the action. Lecce is absolutely beautiful.Wpuld definitely return to this place.

Great apartment on a great city! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks in Lecce. The apartment was very large and well appointed. We had everything we need for a fantastic stay. Silvia and llario were both very responsive to our needs.
