Druids Glen Resort

Great staff in all areas of the hotel! Keith in the bar area, Linsey at front desk and many others were amazing. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, other reviews talk to run down items but I did not notice anything wrong during my stay. The food and beverage are excellent along with everything priced appropriately. The grounds are beautiful as well, including two fun golf courses.

While this place is a decent enough hotel, it's by no means a 5 star hotel, 4 at best. Go down the road to Powerscourt and they'll show you what a 5 star hotel is. Came home yesterday after 2 nights there. Room was lovely. Food was fab on our first night in the garden rooms, 2nd night was OK. No flavour whatsoever from the orrichiette pasta, just pure bland. Breakfast on both mornings was just lousy. Food in the hot holds were stone cold. Said it to the manager, but it was still the same the next morning. Opted for the porridge instead, that was basically gruel. There are too many bad reviews on TripAdvisor about the breakfast, that you would think the head chefs would actually do something to correct this issue. Something this hotel is missing, between breakfast and lunch, is a coffee bar. I love a flat white or a cortado. I went looking for a coffee after breakfast had finished but there was nowhere to get one. I had asked the concierge where I could get one and he was willing to and try and get one for me, I told him it was fine because it actually sounded like hard work. That's not on him, he was lovely, I didn't want him to be going out of his way for just a coffee. All that lobby space going to waste, you'd be cleaning up with a coffee bar/menu. I had to go all the way into town just to get a decent cuppa. Booked into the spa, had a lovely guy do my treatments on me, I cannot remember his name but he was just wonderful. An absolute delight and amazing at his work. Pool was fine too, my son had a great time both mornings in it. When we were in the elevator yesterday morning heading for breakfast, it suddenly kept slamming like it was about to go into free fall. It did this 3 times and scared the living daylights out of myself and my son. Went to reception about, they didn't seem too bothered. My son for the rest of the day and since we got home has not stopped talking about how frightened he was in the lift. My son is autistic and this triggered him a great deal. Maybe in future, if something like that happens again, you go out of your way to make sure your guests are actually OK instead of saying "Oh sorry about that". I definitely would not be in a rush back.

We had a lovely and relaxing time at Druids Glen hotel celebrating my wife’s birthday. We were well looked after by staff and enjoyed our meals in the Garden Rooms restaurant. We really enjoyed the break in Wicklow, and look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

We had an Amazing family stay at Druids Glen from check in to check out, we couldnt fault anything, room was beautiful and the staff were absoutley fantastic to us.

An enjoyable stay despite disappointments. Room was tired and the interruptions from fitness classes were annoying. Breakfast was exceptional as always!

This place is more of a 2 star hotel. This is the opposite of a 5 star experience. When I checked in the lady just handed me my card, no information about the hotel, breakfast, activities, the gym, or even pointed me towards the elevator. The room was a mess, very dirty stains all over the carpet, mirrors all over the room that have never been cleaned, mold all over the shower, stains all over the walls, spider webs in the corners. When I went to take a shower the drain was not working properly and I was standing in several inches of water and had to keep turning the shower water off because it was overflowing into the bathroom. And the shower water kept going ice cold when I was in there. Was perfect temp then would go ice cold, boiling, then back to normal. Was told someone would clean the bathroom and fix the hot water the next day but as no surprise no one came to fix anything ever. Stains all over the public carpets. Not 5 stars at all. No hair conditioner provided. No bubble bath or anything for the bathtub. Took 24 minutes and 5 phone calls to get someone to answer the phone to order room service on a Monday afternoon. Every time I call down for extra towels or help with something it rings and rings and rings and rings and no one ever answers. Went to breakfast and went to the buffet. No one welcomed me or anything. Then I notice the table next to me ordering food from a waiter. No one brought me a menu of food to order and I wasn’t told that was an option.the table they put me at also had lots of fresh stains on the tablecloth. The gym is less than 1 star. Disgusting dirty facilities. They don’t tell guests it’s open to the public so it was packed and I couldn’t get any equipment to do any exercises. And it’s filthy, all the benches have holes and rips and tears, the weight matches are wobbly and one arm was broken when I tried to use the pill down machine. Finally got an elliptical and the resistance didn’t work. 2 containers of hand sanitizer there were empty when I tried to get some. It was absolutely filthy and never been cleaned, holes and stains and dents in the walls everywhere. Every bench has huge traits that they put rage over, same with bike seats they also taped over the huge tares. Saw they offered classes and tried to sign up several days in advance and was told all the classes I wanted were full already days in advanced by locals the guy told me. I’m a paying quest and no where in my reservation info didn’t say to sign up weeks in advance to beat the locals to a gym class. Ridiculous. No turn down service or anything to make this place 5 stars. No snacks or drinks in the room besides water. They don’t have the soft close doors so every door bangs closed day and night. The screaming children running around here are endless. There is no soundproofing between rooms at all, I can hear the kids next door screaming and yelling non stop. And WiFi kept going in an out all night . This whole facility is a joke. 5 stars, no way. This
