0/10 stars if I could. The hotels was under construction but that’s not advertised anywhere. 2 of the 3 pools were closed the entire time. All we heard all day was hammering and jackhammers. The lights kept going off. The spa services advertised are not actually offered on site. Don’t even get me started on the service. 45 minutes to make eggs and bacon. An hour to make cheese fries and they were still raw. I complained and the manager didn’t even acknowledge us the following day. Would never recommend this place.

Property was clean and slightly dated. The reviews I read said to avoid this hotel because their staff and their attentiveness was lacking. I’m a laid back traveler and just assumed those who wrote those reviews were more high maintenance than me…they were not! Staff is in zero hurry..takes the expression island time to a new level! The beach…mostly the sandbars that came with low tide were stunning though!!

The check-in was supposed to be at 3:00pm, but when I attempted to do the check-in they told me that the check-in was some time after 3:00 could be 3:00 or 4, or some time. Every time when I asked them for an update they looked at me like I was bothering them.
When they finally gave me the room at 4:30 we were tired and hungry but the kitchen was closed. They are obviously short of staff. In conclusion, If you are looking for a nice place to relax this not the right place to go to.

First review ever, but i must:
This properly was maybe a beautiful space when built , but current management was shockingly unprofessional and unhelpful, i would go as far as rude. Really terrible experience (and we had their best suite!).
*couldt find the key to room safe until late 1st night… so we couldnt leave…
*They didnt even offer us / direct us to the drinking water supply without hassle… im pretty sure that would be a level 1 hotel operation anywhere in mexico…
* construction w power tools near pool - unadvertised - and flatly rude response when i asked duration of work.
* no bicycles available as sold in amenities and they told us “go rent some for $35”
* room wasnt cleaned until after 5pm and no towels left in room, then literally an hour to find us a bath towel ! (Again, best suite)
and to follow it up, they asked me to write to their manager (who was “unavailable” for our 3 day stay…) , they then simply did not reply with even an acknowledgment of receipt of the communication. Horrible.
This was a truly distasteful experience for us, and it happened to be a 40th birthday trip.
The island is beautiful. Avoid this hotel.

I have stayed here three times in the past four years and last two times derives was really bad. This last time, there was a scorpion under the trash bin in the bathroom. Also, I left
early. Breakfast starts at 7. I showed up at 7:20 and the more mature gentleman let us now coffee would be ready in 20 minutes
and bread would not come til 8. I ordered my breakfast at 7:25 because i had to leave at 8:10. Other people
showed up after
and he brought their breakfast at 8 and mine wasn’t ready. When i complaint he had a bad attitude and said “ is the way the cook is doing it”. No apology nothing. Never coming back.

I have had bad service in the restaurant two different stays now. I had one good stay a few years ago so I gave them another chance. Bad service, attitude, slow. I will never stay here again.

Our room was average and unfortunately we had a lot of cockroaches in our room.
They are short on cleaning staff; the restrooms in the public areas are always in need of cleaning.
The staff in the restaurant and spa are extremely friendly and helpful.
We picked this property because it is just outside the most visited area in Holbox which is amazingly beautiful.

Mixed experience with fantastic location
Vivid a really mixed experience in this hotel. There are times when the stuff is really addentive and then they are other times when they don't care about you at all. The restaurant is probably low point. The food is really bad and you wait for it forever. Breakfast take like 2 hours. Some people at the reception are super helpful, but others like the lady with the curly hair can't do anything for you. The hotel does not have much of an atmosphere as in the evening everybody goes to meet elsewhere. If you are kiting the location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic as it's right where you can start to go kiting. The hotel should change the chef in the restaurant. The stuff should be trained and they could consider focusing on kitesurfers
