Hotel Falken The employed staff were wonderful, but we probably won’t go again. We had booked a south facing superior room with a balcony. The actual room was south facing with an amazing view, but the balcony was east facing and too small to use. Every evening on our return there were dead flies around a window – possibly due to nearby cows. We think the staff helpfully sprayed the flies daily – but why did they not get vacuumed up daily? A bigger problem was the never-ending creaky floors. We think due to the 1890s parquet flooring. Any movement around a bedroom during the night was a noisy nightmare for those below and around. We had a family above us with a baby for three nights who needed attention in the small hours. After the first night we raised the matter with the management and there was a little improvement as the family above tried very hard to be less noisy. We described the hotel as being shabby genteel – rather fitting for a previous reviewer calling the hotel Fawlty Towers. A plus for us was no television anywhere in sight. The food at breakfast and dinner was great and well presented – thank you. But suddenly on Saturday morning we found there was no dinner in the hotel that night or on the Sunday for which we had paid. (To be fair we were offered and accepted dinners at their very nice modern restaurant at the other end of Wengen – highly recommended.) On our initial arrival at Hotel Falken we were invited to sit in the lounge whilst the manager went to get us a welcome drink. How pleasant. Then she came and gave us a verbal list of meal-times, where and where not to put the key etc, etc, etc. Too much to take in after a 15-hour journey and could so easily have been in written form. This lady did not, at least to us, have a welcoming smile and was devoid of warmth. It was good to back in Wengen again.

I've been coming to Regina for several decades. It has always been a home away from home. It is one of very few hotels that has managed to keep the luxury and allure throughout many years. They adhere to a very high standard on every level. For many it might feel antiquated, but if you're looking for something that is truly unique, that has stood the test of time and is not just another generic modern day luxury hotel, this is the place to be. There's not many hotels where you can sit in a lounge by a warm log fire, playing a board game while a pianist is playing. It's a hotel that is filled with history, warmth and kindness.

My husband and I stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon. The hotel was a little outside our price range, but we decided to treat ourselves, and we were not disappointed! Our room had a gorgeous balcony view of the Alps and the Lauterbrunnen valley. The breakfast buffet was amazing- cold cuts, lots of fresh fruit, breads, a large selection of jams, and eggs to order. We also finished every night of our stay with a trip to the hot tubs/spa area. Sitting in the outdoor hot tub during a heavy snowfall was definitely a honeymoon highlight. We also loved the hotel location- it's so close to the Wenger train station that it made exploring the rest of the mountain area with day trips so easy to plan. We had an amazing stay and would strongly recommend Hotel Silberhorn if you're looking for a hotel with a great view and yummy breakfast!

Splendido hotel a Wengen in posizione ottimale con una vista mozzafiato, centro benessere con tutti i servizi e comfort, Jacuzzi esterna con vista sullo Jungfrau. Colazione perfetta non mancava nulla, prodotti freschi e del territorio, cena a tre portate anch'essa ineccepibile. Staff professionale e sempre sorridente, Il direttore dell'hotel super professionale, cordiale e disponibile per consigli sulle attività da svolgere, tour organizzati, percorsi e sentieri del territorio, ci ha fatto sentire veramente coccolati ed è proprio quello che ci si aspetta da una vacanza. Sicuramente ritorneremo

I love this place and can’t recommend it enough. This is the second time I stayed— once last summer for 3 days and then for over a week now, in June 2024 (solo both times). I needed a bit of a break from life and unplug, and the kindness and hospitality of the staff made my stay feel like a home away from home. If you feel hesitant about booking due to lack of amenities like fridge or microwave in rooms, I can assure you it’s not an issue nor burden. Again, I stayed here for 8 days and was perfectly fine and able without either! I didn’t even need them. I also left very early before breakfast (crack of dawn) and the staff was so kind to pack me a breakfast and even some sandwiches. I hadn’t even asked! The home away from home feeling here is unmatched.

I prezzi di questo hotel sono davvero stellari. Nonostante cio' quello che offre è alla pari se non meno di tanti hotel (meno cari) di altre località svizzere alquanto famose. La stanza, seppur dotata di var comfort e spaziosa, era caldissima. Il piumino soffocante, il materasso scomodo, il letto piuttosto stretto. Divano e poltrone un po' vetuste e polverose. Bagno modesto, con asciugacapelli da viaggio e vasca vecchio stile non pulitissima. Il buffet della colazione offre una grande varietà di alimenti, vista la clientela molto internazionale. La qualità pero' lascia molto a desiderare. Marmellate e pane dal sapore insipido, jogurt e cereali di seconda scelta, lo jogurt confezionato poi non era nemmeno refrigerato. L'interno dell'hotel è un miscuglio confuso di stili moderni e antichi, che non appaga l'occhio. La reception è stretta e l'ascensore è assolutamente inaccettabile, ancora di quelli senza porta interna che scorrono a muro, quindi se per caso ti rimane incastrato qualcosa, si mette male... inoltre inaccessibile a una carrozzina. In ogni caso, per dire anche le cose positive, il personale è molto gentile, il panorama è molto bello e la posizione comoda, proprio alla stazione. I gestori sembrano dedicarsi con passione al loro lavoro e si impegnano in progetti ecosostenibili. I prodotti da bagno dell'Occitaine sono un punto a favore.

Eiger Lodge Chic - Grindelwald: Non ho capito che la Eiger Lodge era situata nel Grindelwald Grund – Terminal, non nel cuore di Grindelwald. Dopo aver notato che, devo dire che le nostre sette notti nell'alloggio con una stanza e balcone di fronte al monte Eiger e un dolce colazione, ero felice per il mio errore. L'alloggio è vicino al Terminal da dove abbiamo acquistato i biglietti e lasciato via cavo per il Top of Europe – Jungfrau, e ha preso le auto a cavo Mannlichen - Wengen, così come la principale stazione ferroviaria Grindelwald Terminal. C'è anche un «shuttle train» che corre tra Grindelwald Grund e la città principale di Grindelwald. È anche a pochi passi dal locale (a un lato). Il proprietario e il personale sono molto personali e molto utile. L'alloggio è un interessante mix di ostello e hotel. Eravamo nella sezione “Chic” appena aperta. Svegliarsi verso quelle incredibili viste dal nostro balcone era prezioso. La loro struttura di lavanderia è un po' limitata per il numero di ospiti. Line-up è tramite il sistema onorario – prima arriva / prima può usarlo. Il Eiger Lodge è anche un campeggio vicino (5 minuti a piedi). La colazione può essere goduto all'interno o all'esterno. L'alloggio dispone di un ristorante all'aperto (sera aperta) con sede coperta e non coperta. Ci siamo mangiati diverse volte – buon cibo / menu limitato / birra fredda. L'alloggio offre a tutti gli ospiti un passaggio gratuito per autobus. Abbiamo fatto il nostro viaggio per arrivare alla città di Grindelwald, per poter prendere la macchina via cavo a Grindelwald First, dove abbiamo anche camminato a Bachalspsee e incontrato le vacche svizzere contenute.

Abbiamo optato per questo hostello perchè la sua posizione era l'ideale per un viaggio in treno; siamo arrivati alla stazione di Interlaken e abbiamo dovuto trascinare i nostri bagagli per soli 100mt! Il prezzo era competitivo e, pagando poco di più, erano disponibili camere matrimoniali con bagno interno ad uso esclusivo; diversamente non vi avremmo soggiornato, in quanto, ad una certa età, la privacy è un bisogno irrinunciabile. Se la stazione è a pochi passi, attraversata la stada in direzione opposta, gà inizia la via centrale, con negozi, bar, hotels, gioiellerie e casinò. Ovviamente le aspettative devono essere ridimensionate; non parliamo di hotel ma di ostello! La camera pulita ma essenziale, arredata in modo minimalista, senza tv o altri servizi, con materassi comodi, ma accostati a formarne uno matrimoniale. Colazione compresa, sufficiente . Disponibile un deposito bagagli gratuito. Ottima soluzione per contenere il budget di spesa.

L'hotel Rossli di Interlaken è stato una scelta per la nostra recente visita. Circa 8 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria Interlaken West, superficie piatta, rende la posizione perfetta quando si utilizza. Dalle foto dell'hotel si tratta di un edificio in stile tradizionale del Cantone e l'interno riflette anche il suo stile. Il personale è sempre utile, soprattutto Jean-Louis, che ha parlato con i suoi ospiti ogni mattina nella sala di colazione, e ha avuto una buona scelta. Un bonus qui è stato un piazzale, un cucchiaio, un cucchiaio, una microonde, un frigorifero e altro per portare cibo dai mercati, ecc per mangiare piuttosto che in camera. Interlaken è un luogo ideale per esplorare questa splendida regione in Svizzera. Rimanere qui e può consigliarsi molto.
