Great hotel that is clean, friendly and centrally located. The hotel restaurant is well worth trying too.

Location is good, close to many restaurants and shops. They have plenty of free carpark space at the back of the hotel. Receptionist is very helpful and polite. Room is clean and comfortable.

Definitely coming back here. Room was beautiful and the staff were amazing. Restaurant was lovely as well as the staff there 10/10 for sure!

Comfortable bed and good size bathroom although overall the room was much smaller than the photos suggested. Great location although travellers should note this is more motel style than hotel style accommodation over several levels with carparks in-between and may not be suitable for those who dislike stairs. There is also no guarantee you will get a carpark as there are less available than rooms, and upper levels on a very steep incline with a narrow entrance may prove challenging to some. When we arrived the restaurant was closed for the night but there were plenty of options within walking distance.

Amazing experience at Mercure Launceston..

This hotel was quite basic, and I was initially skeptical it was truly a Mercure (Accor brand). However, the Wi-Fi login confirmed its affiliation. The room felt like a converted modular unit—compact and minimalist, though noise wasn’t an issue thanks to the quiet location. Space was tight; even opening a large suitcase was challenging. The minibar was well-stocked but had nearly expired snacks. While the price was budget-friendly, the overall experience fell short of Mercure’s usual standards.

The hotel is clean and quiet. The location is okay, 10 minutes walk to the town center.

Booked 3 nights. Came in late 1st night at 11pm after reception was closed and call hotel and given security code to room keys. The size of the room was not according to what I booked. Room given to me was 16sqm as opposed to advertised 24sqm. When I spoke to the front desk next morning, they refused to give me the bigger room as "they are fully booked". After some persistent request, the staff finally agreed to move me to another bigger room for the last night. Some consolation.

Very welcoming and helpful reception, smily and attentive, much appreciated. Our room was facing the street, which was quite noisy but for only one night, it was ok. Note that the car park is quickly full, and its access surprisingly steep !

The guest house enjoys a prime location, and the check - in process is a breeze. The rooms are not only spotlessly clean but also possess a unique charm. Should my friends plan a visit to Stanley, I will definitely recommend they stay here.

A good hotel and got it for a reasonable price for a family member to stay for 10 days while in Launceston.
