Everything is very good at this agriturismo!!! Nice house, clean pool, good service from Giuseppe. We loves it and will return if we come back to Sicily

As the other reviews states this is a hidden gem, serviced and maintained by Giuseppe, where you can spend some days off the grid with your loved ones. This was unfortunately ruined by BED BUGS in our room. After the first night I woke up with a lot of bites on both hands, arms, and feet, on my back and in the neck. They looked like mosquito bites, so even though there were that many, I did not pay that much attention to it and thought that one of our kids might have forgotten to close the mosquito net. But then during the day my left arm and foot, which had the most bites, started to swell and on the following morning my foot was so swollen that I had difficulties in wearing my shoes. The characteristic with three bites in a row and the bites turning red and into blisters with infection made the easy conclusion that this could only be bed bugs. I am also not allergic to mosquitos, which I already had plenty of bites from in Taormina. So, we contacted Giuseppe, who then changed the linen. I informed him that this would not solve the issue, so he called the management. Their first response was that this could not be the case, because Giuseppe did not find any bugs in the bed and as my wife also did not get any bites, it must have been something else. If you just do some simple research on it, you will know that even if people sleep in the same bed, not all get bitten and even so, not all get the same reaction. Then I sent the manager the pictures of my bites, which must have changed his mind, because he and his mom then arrived within half an hour to do damage control. But they chose the wrong approach. Instead of accepting the situation they chose denial, saying it had never happened before, so it must be something else. But one time must be the first, it only requires a previous guest to bring them in. I also think they knew, because after all they vacuumed the mattress and changed the linen, but again I told them that it would not solve the issue, as the bugs hide, also other places than the bed itself. First of all, I was not angry about it and not blaming them, as bed bugs can happen even to the most exclusive hotels. Also, the bed bugs would only bite again after 5-7 days, so I was actually ok sleeping in the same bed, as we were only to stay there for three days. My intention was merely to secure that it would not happen to the following guest of the Arantino room and maybe also the adjacent apartment, as these buggers do migrate. So, to the management, if you hopefully read this review, here is what you should have done. Even though it was not your fault, it is always a good idea to say you are sorry for the inconvenience it has caused. Then you should have listened to me and the description of what followed up until the incident, then you would have been certain, maybe you did but did not show. Fantastische Aussicht / Lage! Die Unterkunft - so sauber war auf unseren Reisen selten eine Unterkunft, das schätzen wir sehr. Ich könnte jetzt vieles nennen und mache das aber nur kurz, als Spoiler - es war einfach perfekt! Wir fanden die Ruhe, die wir suchten, aber auch die Herzlichkeit - grazie infinite a Giuseppe, und auch einen kleinen Laden, in dem Wein, Bier, Eier, Marmeladen gekauft werden können, aber auch einen Willkommenskorb am Tisch. Es gibt außerdem einen Grillplatz, eine Waschmaschine, die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet! Es wird vor allem an so viele kleine Details gedacht, die einen immer wieder im Urlaub überraschen. Die Anlage ist ausgezeichnet gepflegt. Brot und Brioche können jeden Tag bestellt werden und sorgen für einen herrlichen Start in den Tag. Die Fotos der Homepage stimmen mit jenen vor Ort überein, allein das ist schon toll, aber wenn es dann auch wirklich so schön ist und man sich dort zu Hause fühlt, geht einem das Herz auf.
