This is a classic 1950’s/60’s one-story drive up motor lodge that has been remodeled and updated. Nothing fancy mind you, and the furniture is pretty worn but the place was clean and bed comfortable. It is adequate for an overnight stay but not a room that is particularly magnetic for anything more than that. It is privately owned and the staff is cordial. It is also one of the least expensive motels/hotels in Las Vegas. That said, it is overpriced. It should be cheaper. It’s really a budget hotel, was not priced as such. All of Las Vegas, which is dump of a town, is super overpriced for what you get. Read the reviews of other hotels and none of the “reasonably “ priced hotels get good reviews. This one got the best and it was just meh. My advice is stay in Trinidad if it makes sense for your travel plans. Avoid Las Vegas if possible.

This motel offers basic, clean, inexpensive accommodation. Our room was small but had everything we needed for a two-night stay. It had recently been completely redone and was spotlessly clean. The mattress was very comfortable. The outside is not impressive, but overall we were pleased. It was also very quiet.

Very clean room!!!! Bathroom was very clean, towels smelled good. Bed was so comfy! And very affordable! I use a wheelchair & although I couldn’t get into the bathroom I was able to use my travel shower chair in tub/shower. Affordable little gem of a place!

We took a chance while driving through and I’m glad we did! The rooms are spacious and clean. Ours had a living area with a huge tv where our two teenage boys hung out giving us a small degree of separation…which is nice after many days on the road! The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Highly recommend!

BEST SLEEP in 2 weeks on the road. I admit I had my doubts and pulled in after passing my usual choices of Comfort Suites and Holiday Inn that had pushed my trip budget to the breaking point. With all the taxes and fees this was $90.00. Our king room had the most wonderful bed, pillows and air- conditioning. Inside the newly renovated room it was spotless. The fridge/freezer was cold but did lack shelves, but for 1 nite i did not care. Bathroom had a deep, spotless tub with a nice shower head. I didn't see a hairdryer but maybe front desk has 1 they lend you. The town is lively maybe 1 mile away near the colleges. I think Las Vegas NM is a town awaiting a revival. Great food,lovely park in its center and tons of buildings and shops waiting for you.

I love these motels where you drive right up to your door instead of having to trudge through a lobby and long hallway. The Thunderbird is a classic with very clean updated rooms, snappy internet, comfortable beds. The T-Bird delivers a good guest experience. I stayed in 116 and enjoyed it.

Wonderful motel! Friendly check in. Super clean room. Bathroom looked to have been remodel. Great lighting. Good wi fi. Big tv with great cable. Best towels we've had in a hotel. Quite area. Easy to find. Would definitely use again if in area. Price was very reasonable.

The room was pristine clean, the bed was the most comfortable bed we have slept in during our 3 weeks on the road, bathroom remodeled, and we never heard a sound either from road noise or neighbors. Amazing. Our first stay here but will be our “go-to” from now on. Hated to leave the bed and linens.
