Molto buono
TTable_for_3We just returned home from Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan. It was our first time in Cebu. It was a short but great trip.
The highlights:
Accommodations: We chose Crimson because we frequent high-rise hotels when traveling and decided this time we wanted a villa/bungalow type of room. No hallways and no elevators. Crimson checked those boxes. They also accommodated our requests for a king bed and first floor room.
Activities and amenities: Our daughter loved Crimzone and the children’s pool. It was hard to get her to leave. The Saturday foam party was fun and the pool staff were engaging. My wife and I both availed the spa and wow, we can see why they won an award for Best Value in Asia. The price was affordable while the quality of service was top-notch.
Food: The buffet breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. My favorite item was the fruit and veggie smoothies. Who knew bakchoy and mango blend well together? But it was the attentive staff that really made breakfast a great experience. We tried the 24-hour room service and I swear the chicken club sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in my entire life 5/5!
The lowlights:
Here are some reasons why we are not giving Crimson an excellent review.
1. Overpriced/low quality food in Saffron during ala carte dinner. Our first night we arrived in the evening and were hungry. For two people (our daughter is a toddler) we paid over 5000php for an appetizer, 3 entrees, one beer and one bottle of water. Honestly, the price would be ok for this amount of food if the quality was better. I would suggest Aka or Enye for higher quality food although we didn’t try either. Saffron was empty that night and we found out why.
2. Distance to places/sites. Crimson is quite far for shopping or eating at other restaurants. We hired a private car for 3 hours and was only able to visit two sites and one pasalubong store. Luckily it was only moderate traffic on that Saturday. 2500php for a sedan for 3 hours was reasonable.
3. The gift shop is waaaay overpriced. 950php for a small tube of sunblock seemed very high even at a resort. We also wanted some souvenirs, but there wasn’t much variety at all.
4. Our room needed some TLC. The paint in the nice tub was chipping, the caulking in the showers could use a refresh and there was a huge ipis (roach) in the closet. Luckily we spent most of the time outside the room.
5. No floaties or life vests for toddlers to use, even for rental. Despite having almost everything else, this would have been a nice touch.
6. We came to Cebu for mangoes and lechon, but Crimson didn’t offer these items and again, because of distance, it would have been nice to have some at the hotel.
The bottom line:
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others, however we would give them our full review so they are aware of the pros and cons.

Room was very clean and comfy. Pleasant staff very proactive. Breakfast was decent selection with egg station❤️. Will book this place again in the future. Will recommend to friends and family.

IIacovinaThe specific hotel is just 20 minutes driving from the Cebu airport. Its location is excellent.
I can say that it was a small paradise.
There is a huge pool with a bar that you can spend your day. The staff were very friendly and polite.
The breakfast was huge. The room was amazing, very clean. The Cara Spa was excellent with professional staff. Also, the Nonki restaurant offers one of the best sushi i have ever tried.
Thank you for making our honeymoon so unique!

UUtente ospiteOttimo hotel con la sua spiaggia! Abbiamo prenotato 2 camere deluxe lato piscina al Costabella e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti delle camere. Erano molto spaziose e la vista dalle nostre camere era favolosa! Abbiamo apprezzato molto il nostro soggiorno qui, c'erano un sacco di bellissimi lettini intorno alla piscina e in spiaggia. Uso gratuito di paddle board e canoe.
Abbiamo soggiornato al Costabella per 3 notti ed è stato un soggiorno molto rilassante. La struttura è vecchia ma molto ben tenuta e tutto il personale era molto disponibile. La colazione a buffet era buona, il cibo al ristorante era delizioso, le bevande al bar Luna erano fantastiche e c'è un tavolo da biliardo gratuito su cui giocare.
L'unico aspetto negativo che abbiamo riscontrato su Costabella è che non puoi semplicemente uscire dalla proprietà per andare in un minimarket o in un altro ristorante. Se vuoi stare lontano dal trambusto, questo è il posto dove stare. Sì, torneremmo di nuovo a Costabella ma la prossima volta porteremo i nostri snack e bevande.

XxtynI recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience! The breakfast buffet was the highlight of my stay—there were so many options to choose from, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you prefer a hearty meal or something light, there’s definitely something for everyone.
The hotel also offers various scheduled activities, which add to the fun experience. My personal favorite was the foam party, though I believe it’s only available on weekends or specifically on Saturday nights. If you’re around during that time, it’s definitely worth joining!
As for the room, it was absolutely the best—spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. However, it does come at a higher price, but the quality and comfort make it worth it.
Another great feature is that the hotel is pet-friendly, which is a big plus for those traveling with pets! Just note that there is an additional fee for bringing your furry friends.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for those who enjoy good food, fun activities, and a comfortable stay!

NNail Art in CebuWe had an amazing weekend getaway in Palm Beach Resort.
Location was ok. It wasnt the best location BUT it has a 711 just across the road and the hotel has a nice store in their lobby that sells snacks, drinks, swimsuits, swimming things, etc on a very reasonable price.
We originally booked a standard room but upon checking in, they upgraded us to a deluxe room which i was so grateful for. It was a nice, big room. It has a small balcony, tv with cable, split type aircon, 1 double bed, 1 single bed, 1 sofa, mini fridge, mini kitchen area (no utensils though just sink and electric kettle), and bathroom. The room itself was so nice however, the bathroom could have been thought better. Water pressure isnt that great especially if theres a lot of guests in the hotel. Im just a bit sad they didnt clean our room for the 3 days we stayed. Also, next door resorts might kinda be loud at night or during mornings.
The amenities were beautiful. They have 4 swimming pools: a small 2ft pool and 3 good sized pool thats 1x 4ft and 2x 5ft deep. Everywhere you go in their beach area has places to sit on. They have a small restaurant, a mini chapel, a small game room (billiards, foosball, and sungka), and my favorite: kid’s play area with slides and playhouse. Its a small resort but amenities were well thought of. They also have access to the sea. No beach though but stairs going to the sea water only.
The staff were nice. Very kind and accomodating.
Price per room is super duper worth it!! With how big the room is and amenities you and your kids can enjoy, its really great! As long as you are not that picky, then this resort is good for you.
Overall, we had a good time. My kids has a wonderful time. Will we stay here again? Why not. It sure is a nice resort.

ZZanriThis resort is average. The staff are lovely and very helpful, but it looks better in the pictures. We couldn't swim at the 'beach' and the facilities are somewhat dated.
Moreover, it is somewhat overpriced for what you get. I don't mind paying good money for a good stay, but I'm not sure that the food, though good, is worth what one is charged.
We went to lunch at Azure by Crimson Resort and our bill was only slightly higher than at this resort. Considering that Crimson is a luxury resort and Azure has a 5-star rating, it seems a bit off. Also, be aware that you will be charged a 2000peso deposit per night.
It is also very far from everything else and the facilities close early. You are not allowed to order food on Grab or bring in any other food from the outside unless you're willing to pay 35% 'corkage fee'. A bit ridiculous. Also, they had a zumba class on the lawn next to the restaurant and played really loud music before 7am on a Saturday. It was really annoying.

UUtente anonimoGV is always our go-to whenever we visit Berhin sa Regla in Opon. It's a 5-min walking distance from the church. It's in between of Metrobank and Watson so we don't worry about the things we need. Near Opon market where the puto and sikwati along the way is available. Grocery stores and fast food chains are also near.
Perfect for the devotees of the Berhin.
Room is clean and has wifi.
Their people are nice too and accommodating.
