Castillo Lanjaron

We did a three day riding trek orgqnised by Sarah and her lovely team. The whole trip was outstanding from car-pickup in Lanjaron to transfer back to Motril for our returnbus to airport. The horses were gentle in temper, sure feeted and more than willing to work. You could see that they were wonderfully taken care of. Our accomodations and its hosts were all fantastic, showing us great service and warm hospitality. We were served tasty dishes and good local vine. Together with Fin our experienced and safe horseguide we enjoyed the genuin, dramatic nature and wildlife in the beatiful regions of Alpujarra. Well done Sarah! We would love to return!

This was our fourth time here which speaks for itself. It ticked every box. We feel now that we know everyone so well…. a wonderful welcome and we were treated like royalty. The horses again were brilliant with wonderful rides and accommodation in lovely surroundings up in the mountains. .Food was superb. Thank you again to everyone for making it a wonderful few days away. Not forgetting Finn who made the rides such fun. See you next year! 😘

My niece Shelley and I really enjoyed our three day trek with our guide Lila. Amazing views. We loved our horses. This was our second holiday here and it was just as good as last time. I had the most amazing solo holiday, I was lucky enough to stay at Sharon’s, Nathan’s & Emily’s accommodation they were all incredible and so welcoming & friendly. Everything was so well organised. Sally was a dream to ride, our guide Layla was lovely and the views from the mountains can’t really be put in to words, didn’t want this trip to ever end!!!

My adult daughter and I visited Caballo Blanco 5th-8th April. We are both experienced riders and that means that we are quite fussy about the quality of the riding and the care of the horses. This trip way exceeded our expectations in all respects. Our horses were wonderful - sure-footed, willing and careful. I’m not going to name them in this review or everyone will request the same ones! Our guide Lila could not have been kinder or more helpful to us and the horses. It was a real pleasure to get to know her - thanks Lila! Sarah’s organisation in advance and during the trip was very thorough and it worked like clockwork - many thanks to Emma, Simon and Steve for transport. And finally, the homestay accommodation was ideal. We spent two nights with Sharon and Bongo enjoying their great company and Bongo’s delicious cooking, and a further night in a lovely private house in Lanjarón. And the sun shone. And the scenery is wonderful. We thoroughly recommend the whole trip and would certainly go back.

Took my 7 year old son for a 2 hour horse-riding trek. We both really enjoyed and our guide Lisa was super good. The horses were great, well behaved and great to ride especially the single track terrain. We were beginners but got into the flow, next time would like to get straight onto the singletrack to explore the mountain further

I had an amazing ride and stay - everything was super organised right down to the transfers from Granada and from the accommodation to the ranch. The accommodation was fantastic with exceptional food served and were amazing about my dietary requirements. The horses are very well looked after and Sarah picks the right horse for the rider! The scenery is spectacular - a perfect way to explore the countryside. I'll definitely be back :)

I did a three day trek holiday in February and had an amazing time. Although I haven’t ridden in quite some time, they chose just the right horses for me. The horses are all amazingly well cared for and the guides were great. It was very well adapted to riding capability. The scenery was different on each day. If you have any questions, just ask and you will get a response quite quickly. The accommodation included was fantastic too!

Thoroughly recommend this slice of riding heaven off the beaten track in the mountains. We had a fantastic time on beautiful forward going well cared for horses. Our guide Flynn was very knowledge and great company. Our accommodation organised by Sarah was comfortable and peaceful. Thanks to Emily for sharing her mountain hide away. Looking forward to going back for a third time soon!
