Club Mykonos Langebaan

We booked Kaliva 595 through Lekkerslaap. On arrival we were not booked in on the system and Mykonos had no information regarding our stay although we booked and paid Lekkerslaap in advance. The staff at Lekkerslaap, Agent Roxanne sorted it out swiftly and contacted me to confirm that everything was sorted at reception. I still feel that it all should have been confirmed via Lekkerslaap as they did the booking and I paid them. Club Mykonos was really nice, the Kaliva was clean. The safety was a problem as we couldn't leave windows open at night as it has no burglar bars and the one window in the lounge opens up onto someone else balcony who can easily climb through our window on the top floor. We were also not informed that we need to take a tag with us to enter the pool area and the indoor pool area. We had to pay R50 for a swimming cap at the indoor pool as you are not allowed to swim without a cap. Information we wished we knew as we could have brought our own swimming caps with. The staff is very friendly and helpful even the cleaning staff. We were assisted with a porter to carry all our luggage from the top floor to the car. Very efficient. Kaliva 595 is close to the conference area so work groups were booked there and partied till early hours of the morning, drinking and shouting right outside our kaliva. They were a very rowdy crowd - about 300 people that attended the conference - both nights we were there. We were told it's regularly booked and full. So it can be noisy at times. The kaliva gets cleaned every day but they don't refill the toilet paper or the coffee and tea. So good to bring extra with you. The facilities are good and clean and the restaurants such as Dockside at the marina had good food at affordable prices. Bear in mind the kaliva is on the top floor so a lot of stairs to climb. We were not aware of this and my elderly friend struggled to get up and down the many stairs. There is also Tuks Tuks to take you around the property - it's R10 per person. We just used our car to get to the ****** or to the indoor pool. We walked to the beach and outdoor pool. The restaurants is 2min away. There is also a cafe on the premises that is open till 10pm. If you want to braai rather buy your meat from the shops at the mall that is 5min away. The meat is not a wide variety and it doesn't look very tasty. Other things to buy like milk, water, sweets etc is convenient. The grounds also has a tennis court, squash, spa, putt putt and other sporty amenities. The highlight is the private beach, the outdoor pool, the indoor pool, the restaurants that were so close as well as having the mall 5min away. There is a designated parking spot but hauling your luggage pass the shop and up the stairs is a mission. Reception staff is very helpful, you dial 5 and you can make a request and they will try to accommodate you.

This was by far the most expensive single night stay of our 2 week South African holiday. Having lived in SA many years ago it was so exciting to take my family there to experience the unique concept in South Africa and perceived glamour. We were bitterly disappointed. It is neither prestigious nor value for the exorbitant price. It is still is a unique concept and the area is beautiful, however Club Mykonos is riding on its previous good standing and is now just tired, dirty and overpriced. The service from staff is excellent, both at check in and at restaurant, nothing to fault with the staff at all. The issue is that the whole complex needs to be renovated and cleaned. Walls are dirty and chipped, paving not uniform where botched repairs have been made, bird droppings on communal stairs and railings and refuse in bags lying in stairwells leaving food detritus where they have been dragged. Not a welcoming or hygienic environment. The unit we stayed in, whilst cleaners did the best they could, did not hide that the furniture was damaged, ingrained mould in bathroom tiles and the fact that it needed a good renovation. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone until renovations have taken place.

From the efficient accommodation reservation to check-in/check-out procedure and everything else in between, I have to commend and recommend the friendly staff at Club Mykonos for making our weekend stay a pleasant and memorable one. A special mention to Jami Moses for the friendly professional manner in which she assisted me with all my queries and questions and going the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful stay.

Waking up to this breathtaking views made us filled with gratitude.Seeing the amazing sunset over the ocean was beautiful. Our stay was peaceful , relaxing and enjoyable .

Very beautiful place for relaxation, peaceful. Went with my girlfriend, it. Was nice. The accommodation is affordable, hospitality is superb, professional and overwhelming.i would definitely go back with my family and friends this time around.

The resort it selves is amazing and the atmosphere and restaurants is absolutely amazing my favorite a long walk on the beach
