Hotel vicino a Ipoh Convention Centre (ICC), Ipoh

I had a wonderful 2-night stay at Weil Hotel Ipoh. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. One of the highlights was the complimentary supper and the delicious breakfast served on both mornings, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location is excellent as it is directly connected to Ipoh Parade Mall. It was very convenient to shop, dine, and even catch a movie without having to drive. Being located in the city centre also made it easy to get around Ipoh. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful throughout my stay. The only area that could be improved is the gym. It is clean, but the workout equipment is quite limited. Adding more machines and free weights would make it much better for guests who like to exercise. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay at Weil Hotel Ipoh again. Highly recommended!

La camera era spaziosa, confortevole e ben tenuta. Le receptionist sono state molto gentili e accoglienti, rendendo il check-in e qualsiasi richiesta semplice e senza intoppi. Il servizio di pulizia giornaliero è stato effettuato e la camera era sempre pulita e in ordine. Nel complesso, è stato un soggiorno confortevole e piacevole, e ci tornerei volentieri in futuro.

It was like stepping into haven! The modern colonial decor won me the most. The unit is spacious with rooms made neatly. The toilet and bathroom though quite small, they’re clean. The kitchen unit is complete with utensils, pans, microwave and induction hob for when you choose to prepare simple dishes for your family. Easy navigation to the parking lot. We stayed there for 2 nights and got the chance to hang out at the pool and the beautiful garden. We’ve been to many hotels in Ipoh but this by far was the best in our record. Kudos!

Spaziale camera, desk for work space è buona e comoda. Adatto per i viaggiatori di business come me. Ma non mi piace la stanza al livello 3, quando stanno facendo lavori di costruzione a 4.30am, molto rumoroso e non posso dormire correttamente. Ma, più importante, non possono mantenere il livello di pulizia fino al livello standard. Quando sono uscito per colazione, ho trovato la fronte di lama della mia porta. La mia stanza era alla fine della fila. Forse altri ospiti usano la mia porta anteriore come loro spazzatura, ma ciò che mi ha colpito di più, quando sono uscito dalla mia stanza, c'era un custode, ma quando ho parlato con lui di pulire il rubinetto, mi ha appena detto di aspettare le istruzioni di ufficio. Non c'è fretta di pulire il rubino e il loro standard di pulizia del custode!

For the price, I think it is a reasonable option.  However objectively: 1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking.  The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the ”fix” was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about.  To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.  2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews.  However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.  3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the ”make my room” card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both.  They only cleaned 1.  I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.  4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.  5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.  6. The staff were helpful and friendly.  Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).  7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible.  It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.  All in all, it was a decent stay.  Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained. 

Personale molto gentile, luogo pulito e confortevole. La posizione è ottima, a pochi minuti dalla stazione (si può raggiungere a piedi in poco tempo), ma anche dalle vie principali della città e dei templi. Non avevamo la colazione inclusa, ma abbiamo visto cosa propongono e vi consigliamo di prenotare con colazione inclusa. Grazie mille

La hall è ben decorata con alberi di Natale 🌲 e l'atmosfera è incantevole. C'è solo una lavatrice e un'asciugatrice, quindi abbiamo dovuto aspettare a lungo. Durante il soggiorno, abbiamo avuto un blackout e il personale non si è degnato di andare a spiegarci come funzionasse. Ci sono ristoranti accanto all'hotel e un po' lontani dalla zona principale, ma nel complesso ok. C'è una palestra, ma l'aria condizionata non era accesa e faceva caldo.

Upon arrival the 2 contact details provided don't respond and it's really annoying and disappointing. 1 contact go into voicemail box and another will never pick up the call which somehow give you the impression of the host is not reliable(Attached conversation without reply) The property manager or agent that host these property really need to be more professional. The unit is full of new paintings and the smell cause lots of discomfort(Attached the toilet door with new paint) The bidet or sprinkler is broken and the water is scattered around and cause our clothes and toilet paper all wet!!!(Attached photo broken bidet) They don't install ventilation fan on the toilet and when you open the window for air circulation your neighbors could see you.Their intentions is very clear which is they don't bother the comfort of the guest(Attached photo of when open up the toilet window for ventilation the upper floor could see through hence no privacy while shower.You shower with window close and its felt suffocating after a while!!!) As Ipoh is famous for eateries to our surprise when we packed our supper home the utensils is really disappointing.The host barely provides you any plates and utensils.Maybe just 4 cups 4 plates as if anything extra will cause them a million dollars investment.You can't find extra waste plastic bags or toilet paper.They simply being too calculative and don't provide any extra even you are using it to keep their unit clean at least if you provide me with extra waste plastic bags we could pack our waste and keep it clean and hygiene instead. Each room only 2 towels for shower and no pools towel provided.Very inconsiderate!!! The worst part is they will sent you a check out instructions 6am in the morning to wake you up!!! If you having a peak booking on our check out date you may sent a reminder for checkout but please not at 6am in the morning !!! I think Trip.Com should check on your agent quality and set a minimum standards.The property host is really disappointed we don't have time to waste so we just put up with it and write a review after check out.

Vale il prezzo che paghi! Grande posizione, proprio accanto all'autostrada. Tutto è pulito, l'aria condizionata funzionava bene, la camera è bella. È solo che il piccolo frigo non funziona e la pressione dell'acqua è molto lenta. Ma non m'importa davvero. Il servizio di fronte era anche bello. Riconsidererò di rimanere in questo hotel per un breve soggiorno.

Overall Rating: ★★★☆☆ The apartment's biggest advantage is its excellent location. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and shopping options within walking distance, making it very convenient for families and larger groups. The host was responsive and replied promptly when we raised issues during our stay. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance of the property fell well below our expectations. We encountered ants throughout the apartment—including the living room, sofa, dining area, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms—which made it difficult to enjoy our stay. Although the host provided insect spray after we reported the issue, the infestation was so widespread that spraying the entire apartment was neither practical nor a comfortable solution. Several areas were dusty, the curtains had a noticeable layer of dust, and the bedsheets and toilet rolls appeared old. We were also charged RM60 for an extra bedsheet for two nights, but the condition of the bedding did not justify the additional fee. The sofa showed signs of wear, and one of the ceiling fans was noisy during operation. For larger groups, please note that when someone showers upstairs, the downstairs bathroom cannot be used properly due to water pressure issues. We were informed that this affects every unit in the building, suggesting it is a known issue rather than an isolated incident. The facilities were also disappointing. The jacuzzi was unavailable during our stay and appeared to be non-functional, making it more decorative than usable. The host initially agreed to compensate us for the cleaning fee due to the cleanliness issues, but we did not receive any further update after that. Overall, the apartment has great potential because of its strategic location, but significant improvements in cleanliness, pest control, maintenance, and facility upkeep are needed before I could recommend it to others. Pros Excellent location with many restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. Responsive communication from the host. Cons Widespread ant infestation throughout the apartment. Dusty environment, including dusty curtains. Old bedsheets, worn furniture, and additional bedding charges that did not reflect the quality provided. Noisy ceiling fan. Water pressure issue prevents simultaneous use of upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. Jacuzzi was not usable, just a decoration. Compensation for the cleaning issue was promised but never followed up.
