An excellent b & b in all aspects. Staff were professional, efficient and friendly. The accommodation was very comfortable indeed and the food was excellent both for breakfast and evening meal. There's plenty of parking too. Rooms had lots of character but contained all the modern amenities that you would expect. Menus offered a wide range of food and was far superior to the usual pub grub.

A Warm welcome and lovely room, bathroom really spacious and toiletries included. Small community shop, with essentials and local products. Easy to find and lots of parking. Meals and wine list excellent. A great atmosphere. Lively busy bar, staff and service excellent. Why should I tell you this, I should keep it secret!

Fabulous Inn. The rooms were spotless and looked like they had been recently decorated. Stayed in Wards Stone room homely and very spacious, massive bathroom with bath and shower. Thankfully we booked for dinner as the bar was heaving! Lovely to see a pub busy with lots of friendly welcoming faces. Make sure you reserve a table! Food was lovely. Breakfast was excellent too - usual full English options. Staff were amazing all were friendly/smiley. Definitely recommend and would stay again. Well done for such a lovely hotel, food and staff!

After a long drive north on Monday we were given a lovely welcome on our arrival. Our room was immaculate and we enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar for a nightcap. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Thank you to the staff. We will be back.

Stayed at the Fleece on Saturday 8th March after celebrating my Husbands Birthday The buffet they provided was amazing and plentiful. Our room was perfect very spacious and squeaky clean! Couldn’t fault it Thank you we will be back all the staff were amazing and very attentive

Stayed 4th March for 1night. What a lovely Inn the Fleece is, staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent, wife had Lancashire hotpot, i had gammon. Both very well presented and tasty. Room was large and comfortable, lovely firm bed, great shower. Clean and was ready when we arrived at 2.30pm. Breakfast was brilliant, poached eggs done to perfection and all elements were really hot, which can be hard to achieve by the time it gets to the table. Finally, locals were really friendly and chatty. A fabulous place to stop over if you’re in the area. I would definitely stay again, and recommend to nearest and dearest.

Delightful place to stay, full of character - room was ground floor, very comfortable and spacious. Bar area was lively and full of locals which was great to see. Food was excellent - menu was varied and offered really good quality produce - we all eat something different - and all enjoyed every morsel. Staff were fantastic - quick, efficient and helpful - made us feel very welcomed. They have a little shop inside, selling local produce and craft which is a great idea - bought the morning paper so a big bonus. Couldn’t fault a thing. Will definitely go back as we travel up to Lancaster several times a year.

Me and my partner stayed for valentine’s night, the whole experience from start to finish was excellent, the food was amazing beautiful room, staff were brilliant made us feel so welcome, the service and stay was faultless, we will definitely be back for another stay, we would definitely recommend a visit here.

Exemplary food. Very best service. We lived very nearby a few years ago but returned today for a Christmas visit and it was so good. Very efficient service. Food SO good. Lovely atmosphere in the bar after such a good meal. Hugely attentive and friendly service. Child friendly.
