Mirror Lake Inn

Comfortable accommodations in premiere location on Lake Placid. Staff is very courteous and friendly. The grounds are well kept. We visited in August and the pops of colors from the varieties of flowering plants were breathtaking. Great dining and drink options affiliated with hotel. The town with all its shops and other restaurants are at your doorstep. Perfect get away for families, couples and friends.

My wife and I recently went to Mirror Lake Inn for a quick getaway and we were very happy that we did. The place had an old world charm about it and the location was perfect. There were views of the mountains and the Lake right from our very spacious room. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and had great suggestions for activities. I am looking forward to the next time we are able to get up there and stay again!

Best place to stay in town; excellent staff, food, ambiance and service ! Andrew and staff makes sure you feel welcomed and at home. I would not stay anywhere else in Lake Placid. You will have a totally different experience with every different season.

We enjoyed a fabulous time with our family at the Mirror Lake Inn. There was something for everyone in our party to do. Everyone had fun and all left with fond memories!

Mirror Lake, NY is a picture perfect spot in Upstate NY. The Mirror Lake Inn exterior is also picture perfect. If the interior of the hotel only matched the outside, this would be spectacular. Unfortunately, it does not. First, the good news. The hotel's staff is fantastic. Always ready to please. And the View. the Inn's restaurant is a fabulous surprise. Great views of Mirror Lake, and even better food offerings. The menu is eclectic, the service is highly professional and the food is Michelin top rate. The View almost makes up for the Inn's shortcomings: tired and dark hallways, loud AC, old and mushy mattresses, tiny bathrooms. On the plus side, most rooms on the upper floors have spectacular views of Mirror Lake, which makes $700/night room charges almost palatable (not really). Although the hotel advertises itself as pet friendly, it is not pet encouraging. Pets are excluded from almost all public areas of the hotel, including most outdoor spots. So, if you bring your pet, be ready to stay away from the hotel with him or her. Last, on the plus, plus side, the Inn has multiple EV chargers throughout the property.
