Hurricane Helene Update: Our cabins are in good shape. Our lakefront and first pond have been damaged and will need to be repaired. 'Tootsie's Cabin' is a historic very rustic mountain cabin. It has one bedroom and one bath. With a queen bed in the bedroom, it can accommodate 2 people. This lakefront cabin has an open porch with views of Lake Lure and the surrounding mountains. Tootsie's Cabin is pet friendly. "Tootsie" was the nickname for the current owner's grandmother. Tootsie operated Pine Gables Cabins for many decades.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Adults only.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.Smoking is allowed on the porch.About events:No events allowed.

Lake life
We stayed for 2 weeks in Tootsie’s cabin. Beautiful view of lake & nearby to everything. Cabin needs a good deep cleaning and I’d say we were more like Glamping. The host Jim was very responsive and immediately satisfied our issue.

We enjoyed our anniversary trip in this cabin. Great shower! Rustic, but we are campers, so that was fine. Had everything we needed.

Peaceful getaway
Authentic, simple older Cabin. Quant and peaceful area. Beautiful porch view of the lake. Would definitely return.
