Disney's Boardwalk Inn is so awesome! It is absolutely gorgeous inside and out, and it is walking distance to both Epcot (10 min) and Hollywood Studios (20 min). We arrived early and our room was ready beforehand by text. Finding the room was tricky but once we found it, it was so beautiful! And we had a balcony that faced the beautiful inside court yard, an area we have never seen before. We've stayed at Boardwalk before but I never managed to find the quiet pool because the hotel has an unusual layout. But I found it this time (see tip below), and my kids spent several hours in it. There was a hot tub, and nobody else was around. It was so quiet, beautiful and peaceful! Our room had a magical sofa bed, which my kids loved. After we settled in, we walked to Epcot, which was such a special feeling. We are locals and we go to Epcot all the time, but it still felt amazing to be able to walk there in 10 minutes! After we got back, we swam in the main pool, then came back to the room to rest. That's when I noticed that the tub faucet was leaking with a steady drip. I called front desk, waited on hold, then talked to a very helpful clerk who promised to send someone right away. Maintenance guy showed up minutes later, was very friendly and fixed the faucet quickly. We stayed at room 3317, which had the following minor problems we didn't bother complaining about: the heater didn't work, so we were slightly cold at night, but not a big deal. The balcony door stuck and was difficult to close. (Previously when I stayed at Boardwalk, I had the same balcony door problem and I did call maintenance, but the guy just yanked the door shut hard and didn't do anything about it.) In the morning, when I wanted to watch TV but my kids were still asleep, I sat on one of the sofas in the quiet hallway and watched on my tablet. So comfortable and luxurious! Tip 1: To reach the quiet pool, you must use the correct lobby elevator to go down to level 1. There are 3 lobby elevator sets, one for the Villas and main pool, one small one only for going downstairs to the boardwalk, and one set of three for going to all the floors. It's the only one that can reach the quiet pool, and is labeled as such inside the elevator. Tip 2: my kids don't like cold, so I brought wet suits, and they were perfectly warm to swim in 50s degree weather. The pools were nearly empty, which was a shame. The water is heated, so kids just need to be warm when they get out. Drawback: no food court, have to eat outside unless you have a reservation somewhere, and it was cold (50s). So we mostly ate in Epcot. Every moment in the Boardwalk Inn is magical and luxurious comparing it to the Swan and Dolphin, for example, which is luxurious but not magical. This is true for all Disney resorts: they have a magical quality that non-Disney hotels can't simulate. It's something in the air that I can't define. It could be just in my head, being that I'm a Disney fan, but I feel it every time I stay at a D
