It's nice that you can see the milky way with a nice landscape

Pros : Beautiful view. Unfortunately, the sky was cloudy so, we didn't get a nice sunset. All rooms have a balcony and over looks the sea. The rooms are old school but well maintained. Beds are comfy (medium hardness). Bathrooms have good water pressure and water heater. Towels, shampoo & body gel are provided. There is a tiny lift but you still will need to go up a flight of stairs before the lift. The restaurant area is open air and very breezy when we went up in the morning. Free WiFi. Free shuttle to town at 7pm and return at 9pm. Free airport shuttle. Its like not more than 10 mins from the airport. Mini fridge and kettle provided (need to request). Cons : Accessibility : Not walkable to anywhere as the roads are pretty undulating & there is no grab/gojek car, only bikes. Hotel transport is 50k per way. There's a pretty steep flight of stairs before you get to the lift. Not recommended if you have problem with stairs. But to be fair, it does seemed like most accommodations have steep flight of stairs that you need to navigate. The AC doesn't cool down the room enough even at night. Most probably because of placement of ac and not serviced.

Staying a week here in Labuan at the sunset hill hotel, the room has an amazing view over the ocean. Rooms are ok and clean, with AC, balcony and a bathroom with shower and toilet and toiletries. The safe does not work at any room. At the 6th floor there’s the restaurant and a pool. Every evening there’s a shuttle service to the kota (town) from 7-9pm and the pickup point is across the kfc. Staff is very friendly

Personally I think this was great value. The hotel itself is quite run down (you can tell once it was beautiful) and the maintenance is pretty shonky. However, the rooms were clean and the views were STUNNING. The views From balcony and rooftop restaurant was beautiful during the day and mesmerising at sunset. Food in restaurant was a small menu but everything we had was lovely. Whilst no swimming pool listed on trip advisor amenities, it did have one on the roof, which was nice. The hotel is up a steep hill with no footpaths so not convenient for wandering into town but perfect if you just going on excursions with hotel pick up. There’s also steep stairs to get into reception then lift from that floor upwards. It’s a 5 min drive from airport and hotel will arrange transport for you, just message. The hotel respond quickly to enquiries I think good value for money but not for you if wanting luxury . I’d stay again

Great service at this hotel. We had a large and clean room with a fantastic hillside view. The service was the greatest highlight of this hotel. They arranged an airport picuk-up for us and even helped us to arrange a local taxi when my husband got very sick (sickness completely unrelated to this hotel). The staff were very friendly and accomodating. This was a great place to stay as a base for a long day of boat trips to Pink Beach and Komodo Island. We would recommend this hotel for a short stay and low budget travellers.

Stayed for 5-nights. The hotel is only 5-mins drive from/to the airport which is nice and another 5-mins drive to downtown. Because of the distance with downtown, I expect some quiet and peaceful moment - away from live music everynight in the downtown - BUT the noise from the main road where vehicles struggling to climb the steep road is just awful. So if you’re a light sleeper, make sure to bring some earplugs. About the hotel itself, well it’s Labuan Bajo, so don’t compare to other well-built tourism infrastructures like Bali. Room has decent size, feels homey, a bit wear and tear, cleanliness is okay but can be inproved. Daily housekeeping also available if that’s important for you. While the mattress is fine, the pillow however could be replaced with higher quality. View from the balcony is beautiful. Fridge and small table available in the room, but no kettle. However you can ask for a hot water if you need to make some tea or coffee (BYO) in your room. The elevator is kinda creepy and feel claustrophobic, but it works just fine. The restaurant, I love the view. It’s amazing and beautiful. The service also fine, the lady which I did not asked her name is very kind and humble. The juice is good, but the food is a bit average also too pricey to be honest. I was thinking to give 3 but I’ll give +1 bonus for the restaurant lady for her service.

We had two rooms, aircon was working in one… We had a place to sleep, that was the main thing. The pool was not clean, the water was very unclear and contaminated. Towels were not properly clean. Breakfast was extremely chaotic, and there is NO English spoken. This to the degree that they did not understand when we tried to order a cup of tea. We never got any tea, we only got undrinkable sweet coffee. However, that did not prevent them from writing tea on the bill?? 🤨 It took more than one hour to get the food. I cannot recommend this place, it is way below standard 👎

Lotsss of noise :( Busy road and construction of a big building in front of the door. If you have the premier room, everytime someone in the hotel who is taking a shower will disturb you a lot because of a pump is in front of the door No warm water, really disappointing. The bed is hard as stone. You'll have a very nice view, but don't book it for the sunset, because the sun is behind a mountain. Pool is nice with a Nice view. Room is very light (but I guess that's normal in Indonesia). Bathroom clear but very old (fungus), bed/towels very clean. Premier room had a cleaner and newer bathroom (we slept in both rooms). Minibar on the room is nice. The shuttle to the airport is free but only in the morning which is really weird? After 12o'clock you have to pay 30k. I said I find it a very stupid rule and got the shuttle in the afternoon for free. The price of the rooms are ok, but only because the breakfast is not included. You'll pay half of the price of the room from breakfast (100k per person), takes 30min for breakfast to come and it's ok breakfast, nothing special but luckily you can choose something else than rice. You can't go to the city centre for breakfast, only if you take a scooter or taxi. Can rent a scooter for a good price (50k, half day). You can drive from the hotel to Rangko cave (30min approx.) I don't like the flyer in the room that says if you can proof you gave the hotel a good review before you'll get a discount next time. Wonder which reviews are real ......
