Here we have a nice hotel, 10mn walk from the City center. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean, a very good point. Another great one is the bed which is really high quality for a perfect night ! If you are looking for something special, try their Suite with Jacuzzi, amazing one and you can even use it at night, great moment ahead :-) Location, Service, Rooms, everything was perfect. The improvement points are definitey 2 for us : - There is no Bar ! You can order food and drinks al night but there is no bar, the guy will make it for you in the kitchen that's it ! First time that we sleep in a 4 stars hotel without a real cosy place called BAR. Best exemple is to order a cocktail and you will see that there is not a real Barman. - The Food. There is no restaurant of course but the breakfast is very poor compared to competition and if we arrive around 9/10am (it closes at 11am), there is no more fruits....They do not refill actively. Another unique thing is that they do not clean the tables. You can arrive at 9/10am or 11am, all tables will be there as the clients left them and you cannot choose the table then. First time ever we see this !! In short, very nice to sleep and enjoy a Suite but services around (Bar, food...) are not at a 4stars quality expected.

Really was a teeny, tiny room and sleeping in a cupboard describes it extremely well, having said that it was ideal for a quick one night stay for 2 adults, don’t think I would like to have stayed any longer as not much storage, but the storage they had was quite effective. The bed was large enough and very comfortable but as someone said, the mattress protector was very cheap quality and made the bed so very hot, also the air conditioning was not that brilliant but it had been in the high 30 at the time of our stay so may have been that the air con could not cope with the heat. We actually slept on top of the duvet, solving the problem of the hot mattress protector and used the bottom sheet as a cover. Ibis really could do with sorting this problem out as it is not ideal. We felt the hotel was in a quiet position, felt safe and we did not have any problems with noisy street noise or noisy neighbours. The shower was very good. Not a lot of street parking but we managed to get in and it felt quite safe to leave the car, worked out at €4 for 2 hours and free between the hours of 12-2 and 6pm - 9am in the morning, free all day Sunday. There is one delivery space that you can pull in at for 10 mins if dropping luggage off and if available, but bare in mind this is a one way street so you can not block it with your car for unloading purposes. The Verdun car park is quite close by, maybe a 5-10 minute walk and apparently only €1 for the day at the weekend. The day we arrived it was torrential rain so we were glad of the street parking. Did not have breakfast as lots of bars and boulangeries nearby. Check in and out was 12pm. The staff were friendly and helpful, they also have luggage storage. One tip, just be careful with travel adaptors, the charging points are sort of upside down behind a kind of light baffle affair and very easy to unplug your devise and leave the adaptor behind….anyone wanting one you will find ours in room 107!

Il mio hotel preferito in un recente viaggio in Francia. Le camere sono di dimensioni belle e si sentono nuovi, puliti e di lusso. Il colazione, anche se un po’ costoso, era molto buono con le uova più bellamente scramblete, e tutti gli altri oggetti che si aspettavano per un buffet per colazione. L'hotel è in una buona posizione a pochi isolati dalla cattedrale e a circa 10 minuti a piedi da tutti i bar e ristoranti acquatici. Per me, un risultato inaspettato è il 'Bunker Museum' se siete interessati alla WWII. Suggerimento: circa 12 minuti a piedi a nord è la patisseria 'Reveur de Pain' - assicuratevi di avere la giusta, perché c'è almeno un'altra patisseria che passerete Prima di arrivare lì, non si deve perdere Reveur de Pain.(Puoi anche guidare lì se hai una macchina.) Oh, sì, il parcheggio più conveniente per l'hotel è se puoi ottenere il posto all'aperto a Place Verdun. Se è pieno, puoi andare al più costoso lot interno, e poi muovere la tua macchina più tardi.

Hôtel au centre ville à 5 minutes de la gare. Nous étions surpris par l’excellente propreté de la chambre. Odeur agréable de Citron post ménage! La chambre est bien aménagée avec un lit double pas superking mais confortable, mini salon et salle de bain. Le seul soucis est que la pression de douche est faible. Le petit déjeuner est basique à 15€ : 1 croissant, 1 boit de pain, des gâteaux, boissons chaudes et fraîches, œufs et fromage etc.. la chambre est isolée avec un double vitrage mais on entend un peu de bruit de l’extérieur mais pas gênant. Le prix de la nuit était plus élevée que d’habitude car c’était la francophilie.

Ottimo! Il servizio è sensazionale bene. Le camere sono pulite, abbastanza grande con piccola cucina e frigorifero. La piscina è molto mantenuta e c'è un bar in piscina. Il giorno più caldo dell'Europa, questo hotel è stato il nostro salvataggio. Abbiamo avuto un problema con l'auto il personale era super gentile e ci ha aiutato a portare la nostra auto fino al garage. Il bar è ben dotato e si ottiene anche informazioni professionali per bere. Abbiamo utilizzato il sito di benessere con sauna, sauna a vapore e massaggio. Ci sono state solo esperienze positive. Il personale è tutti in singolo modo multilingue. Ottimo! Ci piace tornare. 

Torniamo a La Rochelle dopo due anni. Così come due anni fa, ci torniamo apposta dall’Italia per festeggiare il mio compleanno. Ultima uscita prima del Covid e speriamo prima nuova uscita dopo la pandemia. Abbiamo scelto questo hotel per la posizione. Sorpresa piacevolissima. Camera standard di buone dimensioni con un arredamento molto curato. Carta da parati al soffitto. Materasso di eccellente qualità. Personale molto gentile. Colazione di ottimo livello. Sicuramente se torneremo, ritorneremo qui!!! TZ
