Lion d'Or

I’m going to be as detailed as possible in this review because I think it’s important for others looking for a romantic dinner to be aware of what we experienced. We had reservations for July 4th at 7 p.m. We arrived on time, but when we approached the entrance, we were immediately confused: the lights in the main lobby of the hotel were completely off. There was no one to assist us, so we wandered around for about five minutes, calling out “hello?” until a staff member finally appeared at the front desk. We told him we had reservations at the restaurant, but he said nothing—he just pointed forward. When I asked for clarification, he sighed heavily, clearly annoyed, and shuffled out from behind the desk to step between my partner and me, pointing again without a word. Only then did we understand where to go, since it was not obvious from his first gesture. We thanked him, but he remained silent and returned to the desk as we made our way to the restaurant. When we arrived, we were greeted by a scent reminiscent of a nursing home—not a dealbreaker, but certainly not a promising start. Hoping the food would make up for the experience so far, we pressed on. Unfortunately, things only went downhill. The server approached us after we stood there awkwardly for a couple of minutes and, in a monotone voice, simply said, “Reservation?” I responded “yes” and gave my name. He didn’t reply, just pointed us to a table—a trend I noticed throughout the evening, as if we were visited by the ghost of Christmas future or something. I ordered a Coke and my partner ordered a Riesling. The server brought me a warm Coke with no ice, never offered water, and didn’t bother to ask what kind of Riesling my partner wanted. He also brought out bread without any oil or butter—this was all before we even placed our food order. When we finally ordered our three-course meals, I started with the beef carpaccio. It looked like it had just come out of the freezer, with some pieces still showing visible ice crystals. It tasted average at best, and it was served with pathetic shreds of iceberg lettuce. Overall, I’d rate the starter a 3/10. For the entrée, I chose the filet of beef. The vegetables were clearly microwaved, though to their credit, the steak itself was cooked correctly to medium-rare. Without the steak, I’d have rated the dish a 1/10, but the beef saved it slightly, so I’d give it a 4/10. For dessert, I ordered the mousse, which was just average—nothing special, deserving a 6/10 at best. However, the real issue was with my partner’s dessert. She ordered the dessert taco, and inside it, we found a dead fly—clearly something that had been killed in the kitchen and ended up in her food. We were horrified. I brought this to the server’s attention, and all he offered was to comp the single dessert. Considering they served a literal fly, the least they could have done was comp her entire meal, but they didn’t. Worse, the server barely seemed bothered, which was both di

La petite pierre est un beau village, avec un coin de vieux village et un château... L'hôtel est situé sur la rue principale et dispose d'un parking à l'arrière , accès aisé. dès l'entrée , bon accueil, le cadre est agréable,bonnes explications par l'hôtesse, La chambre est confortable, vue sur la vallée, salle de bain avec douche , évier,...terrasse... Ascenseurs à tous les étages, ... au rez de chaussée, salon , bar , et restaurant (panoramique sur la vallée) spacieux . Les repas sont excellents ( choix sur Menu dédié) 4 services servi par Léon et Christian avec le sourire et un humour agréable, le Maître de cérémonie est Christophe, qui est au petits soins pour ses hôtes. Les petits déjeuners sont complets et frais , avec crémant. Le Spa est un peu petit et défraichi , piscine de +/- 10M sur 5M , le jaccuzzi est bien mais pas complètement fonctionnel lors de notre passage , douche assez vétuste , petit sauna.. quelques fauteuils relax surement vite complet en cas d'affluence. Pelouse accessible par bon temps pour siroter un bon verre.. Dans les environs , de belles balades a pied a faire, ..... Passing through as part of a holiday fair promotion, we were pleasantly delighted. La petite pierre is a beautiful village, with a corner of the old village and a castle... The hotel is located on the main street and has parking at the rear, easy access. from the entrance, good welcome, the setting is pleasant, good explanations by the hostess, The room is comfortable, view of the valley, bathroom with shower, sink,...terrace... Elevators to all floors, ... on the ground floor, spacious lounge, bar and restaurant (with a panoramic view of the valley). The meals are excellent (choice on dedicated Menu) 4 courses served by Léon and Christian with a smile and a pleasant humor, the Master of Ceremonies is Christophe, who takes great care of his guests. The breakfasts are complete and fresh, with crémant. The Spa is a little small and shabby, swimming pool of +/- 10M by 5M, the jacuzzi is good but not completely functional during our visit, rather dilapidated shower, small sauna... some relax chairs surely quickly full in case of affluence . Lawn accessible in good weather to sip a good drink.. In the surroundings, beautiful walks to do, .....

Staff was friendly and competent. The meals were excellent. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The room was well appointed.

Chambre-studio très confortable avec vue grandiose sur le site fortifié de LA PETITE PIERRE. Font tout leur possible pour vous aider et satisfaire leur clientèle. La cuisine de ma demi-pension était au choix à la carte et gastronomique . Carte des vins très variée dont nombreux vins au verre.

pas satisfaite de mon séjour j’ai réservé cet hôtel en me basant sur les avis vus sur internet franchement ça ne vaut pas le prix qu’il demande de plus la piscine et très petite et froide le jacuzzi fonctionne à moitié et manque de nettoyage un trou au plafond qui fait un sale !je pense qu’il a besoin d’un renouveau la chambre était très bien juste des petites bestioles chenilles dans la salle de bain le petit déjeuner au prix de 21 euros par personne c’est trop chère pour se qu’il propose l’endroit et superbe par contre on a aimé la vue sur la forêt.
