Mercure Cherbourg Centre Port

Very comfortable, nice big bed, access througout for disabled very good, plesant staff throughout, very good breakfast choice. Very easy access to very large shopping complex next door no noise problem, main town just across a bridge from the hotel, great view from 5th floor bedroom overlooking the nice docks.

Excellent location for town centre and Carrefour - just across the plaza. Our bedroom was on the 6th floor (No. 609), the view was excellent. The bedroom had poor lighting and this was particularly true of the bathroom. A very well equipped and comfortable bedroom. Staff at Reception were exceptional. We speak French rather well after 16 years of lessons, we appreciate when staff do not expect to address us in English, 10/10 here. Plenty of free parking during our visit with disabled spaces and electric charging spaces An excellent last night, difficult to beat in Cherbourg.

The hotel is located in front of the old harbour. Agreable and confortable rooms. A private carpark with contolled access is available free of charge. Quite environment. The city center is accessible on foot where you can find quality restaurants ; you simply have to cross the port on the footbridge in front of the hotel. Good value for money.

This is our 'go to' hotel in Cherbourg. We have been staying there for about five years and the standards remain consistently high. Bedrooms, as well as common areas, are scrupulously clean and very well maintained. On this occasion we were fortunate to be allocated a room upgrade with fantastic views to sea and over the port - but all rooms provide excellent views here. The Mercure breakfast is also particularly impressive, providing for just about every requirement! Overall, a great short stay in an excellent hotel supported by very good team.

We booked this hotel on *********** , in the notes we asked for a high floor room with views , *********** confirm the hotel had seen our message and confirmed our request , sadly on arrival we were given a room on the 3rd floor with OK views to the side , we will go back but next time we will ring the hotel direct for confirmation of what part of the hotel our room is in , the beds are comfortable and the bar area on the ground floor is modern and there is outside sitting space .

After staying a previous night at another hotel in Cherbourg, we realised why this hotel is the best rated in Cherbourg. Staff friendly and attentive. Room was what you would expect. Food was fantastic. We will be coming back to this hotel and happy to recommend it to your readers. Well done - keep up the excellent work.

The hotel was a delight, I have used mercure hotels in the past for business and everything about my stay here was perfect. From making the booking on the telephone with their agent to actually arriving. We got a great room with a view but it was the staff who made our stay. Eating in Cherbourg can be hit and miss, one staff member called in a favour to get us a table for two at a very popular restaurant used by the locals. We would never have gotten otherwise. The hotel restaurant is not bad either, book with confidence.

Nice hotel with parking very near port of Cherbourg and beside a shopping mall. Food and drinks expensive. Lovely room in great location. Rooms were spacious, well equipped with lovely views of the river. Great location for travel on Ferries.

Nice clean rooms, good location. Bit hit and miss with staff, some seemed good, especially the breakfast staff, but others seemed less bothered, waited at the bar on several occasions to be served drinks when staff were in the vicinity and had seen us, but they just continued with what they were doing. We went elsewhere for drinks in the end. Needed milk for tea/coffee in the room so asked at the bar on a separate night and met a very helpful member of staff who gave me a little jug for the room. So a bit hit and miss.
