Negatives first; The hotel is getting old. It needs a reno. They started with shower room...that was quite nice, but carpet and decor haven't been updated in awhile. They make good use of space...the bunks in the room allowed our pre-teens and us to fit in one room. Parking; They have limited space in the back and if you get lucky, it's quite convenient. There is also a parking garage nearby, but was completely full when we arrived. I think the business of the town when we were there may have taken the hotel manager by suprise. She was quite flippant about parking, and seemed a bit suprise that everything was full. It's not exactly the hotel's problem... Plus +: The half board was a great value. The meals were honestly too big, and we should have said something, because I felt bad not finishing the courses and over ate a few meals. But they were amazing. The staff of young waitresses were very kind and tried very hard with us non-French speaking americans. Besides the great value of having dinner on-site, it's location was amazing. Next door to an amazing cafe/bakery with impressive pastries, and great service. I honestly don't know where the snooty French stereotype developed, but it wasn't in La Clusaz. Everyone was nice. A lot of English is spoken, and I feel guilty most of the time because of my lack of French, but the hotel and the town make it quite easy to get around. The downtown kids activities are super close also. My kids would have preferred a pool, but for the price, this was perfect
