Chambres d'hotes de charme Le domaine Aubazen

We stayed at the Domaine Aubazen for two nights as we had to be in the area for an unexpected funeral. We were met by the young owners, Thomasz and Fanny, who are adorable. The building has recently been renovated and is spotless. It was useful to have the use of the communal kitchen, although we didn't use it much. Breakfast, on the terrace by the pool, was typically French and delicious. When Fanny is home she bakes cakes to add to the fresh bread, croissant, pain au chocolat, and fresh fruit salad and home made yoghurt. The room and bed was very comfortable and spacious. We didn't use the pool, not heated and in June too cool for me, but the other guests enjoyed swimming and the hot tub! The Domaine is completely private and quiet. "Coming home" the second day felt like finding back "family" in the warm relax ambience created by such lovely people. We had a snack dinner prepared in the kitchen, the hosts also provide a cheese and cold meat platter with red wine on request, and enjoyed the company and conversation with another couple. We visited the Lascaux museum, and booked a 1-night stay at Le Domain Aubazen so we could drive around to explore the surrounding area the next day. The hosts - Fanny and Thomas - who owned this bed and breakfast place are very friendly and considerate. Though we speak very basic French, our hosts understand & speak perfect English. We had good conversations about our experiences in France and U.S.A. Fanny gave us great recommendations of sightseeing points in surrounding area also. It's clear that our hosts have done beautiful renovation work over the last 2 years since relocating there from Paris. In the building we were in, our room is on the upper floor in the corner. There are 2 additional rooms on our floor, and 1 room plus common kitchen with open guests area on the ground floor. Despite that, we feel we have our own privacy, and our fellow travelers were all very polite and quiet. Our room was spacious for 2 people and tastefully decorated. Besides the bed, it has a separate working area, a single day bed & a couple of chairs. Despite the remote location of this place, wifi was super fast, and it worked out well since I had to work on my laptop that night. Bed was very comfortable. We had a wonderful night of sleep. The next morning was a bit chilly, but it was just perfect to have breakfast in the sun on the terrace. Our hosts laid out a scrumptious breakfast. Besides the typical French breakfast items, there were also fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and savory meats with cheese. We were properly fueled up before hitting the road. For our short stay this time, we did not use the pool (temperature was on cooler side) nor the hot tub (working at night). We love the hosts' dog. He was very gentle and well-mannered with all the guests. Would love to stay longer at this wonderful place next time we return to the area!

Une très belle expérience. Fanny et sont mari sont très très disponibles, à l’écoute et de bons conseils pour un restaurant malgré notre arrivée tardive. Chambre spacieuse, confortable et décorée avec goût. Il en va de même pour le reste des pièces communes. Nous vous recommandons vivement de faire une halte dans ce domaine de paix, repos, calme et bienveillance de la part des propriétaires. Nous reviendrons c’est certain.

Le hasard a fait que nous avons eu beaucoup de chance de passer une nuit chez Fanny et Thomas. Accueil simple et chaleureux! Beaucoup de charme dans tout le bâtiment accueillant les chambres toutes différentes. Décoration sobre et raffinée. Petit déjeuner au top ! En tout points parfait, nous recommandons vivement cette adresse !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au domaine Aubazen Le domaine est magnifique et bien entretenu, l’accueil est chaleureux Notre chambre était très confortable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la double douche Petit déjeuner très complet avec gâteau maison Bref, nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Nous avons passé un séjour parfait dans un cadre idyllique. Chambre, petit-déjeuner, cadre, prévenance discrète des hôtes… Tout était en tout point parfait. Nous recommandons chaudement le petit paradis de Fanny et Tamas.
