Agora Kyoto Karasuma

Our family loves this hotel a lot. It is so pretty. I’m impressed with how they manage to fit in a tea room and tree in our room. It is very clean as well. I also like that they provide washing machines with dryer function. Last, but not least, I appreciate that everytime when we return to our hotel, we are welcomed by complimentary drinks and hot dashi soup at the entrance. :) If I return to Kyoto, will definitely stay here again.

Well location, very clean, service not so good , affordable price

Location was great which was close to Nishiki Market. Staff were very nice and room was new and clean. There was window in the room but couldn’t see outside and couldn’t open. There was no soundproof of the hotel. I heard the locals were speaking in the corridor in the middle of the night and emergency cars went by almost every night. However, overall experience was great.

Very nice and clean room with all the necessary amenities. My favorite part of the room is the mini pantry room where you can enjoy your coffee/tea with a tree view.

Location is good - nearest local subway station is Shijio which is 8 minutes walk or 1 bus stop away and Shijio station is 2 stops away from Kyoto station. Alternatively, there is a direct bus #50 or book a ride from Go app (about 1,500yen). Bus #207 adjacent street can bring you to Nishiki Market, Gion and Kiyomizu-dera temple area - along the bus journey, you will bypass shopping district which you can find ABC Mart, Lush, Daimaru, Ichiran Ramen, Takashimaya and many more). Next to the hotel, there is a family mart. Within 150m walk, you can find MOS burger, Tully's coffee and local ramen shop. We booked the Premier room - interior was nice and cozy with a mixed of both traditional and modern feel. However, we hardly had the space to accommodate our 2 large and 2 small bags. Staff are friendly and nice. Basic English communication is ok.

I very liked this hotel, the hotel is very clean, the design is modern , the room is enough for the space for Japan style , is clean and has all the amenities , the only problem is that my room didn’t have a window The location is great very close to the touristic area in downtown kyoto, I used a lot the bus which I could take just in the corner to go anywhere , and also the metro is like 5 minutes walk which was fine also . The area is very fancy The lobby always has amazing fresh tea or water or juice at the entrance The workers there are super helpful and nice I would stay there again with no problem

Lovely hotel, really nice design. Close to subway stop. The only down side was that our room window could not be opened- probably looking directly to next door building. Overall great value for money and would go back to same hotel again if in Kyoto.

I have been here twice in 2 weeks. Staffs are extremely kind The most important thing is rooms are clean. If I go to kyoto again? I’m definitely coming here again
