I first visited Kununurra in 2019 and stayed in what was the Ibis Kununurra, a dark and dingy and not given the attention it needed to want to return. Roll on 2025 and here again for work and usually avoid this place every time I am there but this time I looked at some reviews and pictures and decided to give it another go. I was not disappointed, the staff were/are of a caliber they were should see a lot more of. 10/10 the hotel is still under construction in one area that did not disturb me in any way. Room was modern and clean and very comfortable with aircon and fan etc etc. I look forward to next visit to see completion and stay again. Well done all 🙏😎

My recently renovated room was generally fine. However only two hard, bulky uncomfortable pillows were supplied. I would suggest providing additional softer pillows. Continental breakfast is expensive at $28. This included tea and instant coffee only, barista style coffee was an additional cost. I had asked for an airport pick-up at 6.30pm on a week night. I had a confirmation that this was arranged. However, after waiting some time, no one from the hotel turned up. I rang the hotel and a very apologetic man said, although he had no record of a pick-up request, he would come and collect me. The driver was a friendly, young Asian man, who seemed to be manning Reception, the bar, and fielding numerous phone calls and guest requests single- handedly. He was doing this with courtesy and good humour, kudos to him. Hopefully, once the hotel renovations are completed some of these issues are sorted out.

Taking into consideration that the Cambridge is currently being renovated and run minimally it was an excellent stay. Our deluxe suite overlooking the pool was large,comfortable and a home away from home for our seven days there. Beautifully modernised with great style. I am sure when the renovations are complete it will be an outstanding place to stay. Pool was more than tempting. As the bar and restaurant are serving limited meals it was a little restricting, however it was available for breakfast and dinner. We did enjoy our stay.

I had chosen to stay at the Cambridge after researching our options. After 12 days cramped on small boat cruise I wanted a king size bed in a clean hotel/motel with an in-house restaurant and bar. I also needed to download 12 days of emails and attachments and booked the Cambridge at $280 per night- near the top of the range for Kununurra. I was surprised to see an almost empty carpark and the reception was in the restaurant/bar and bare - under construction. There was no warning of this on their website or reviews by online booking companies. We were pleasantly surprised by a renovated room with all new finishes and high quality furniture and a super-king bed. There were no other guests in sight. So it was very quiet. Then we discovered the dusty/ gritty floor which made our bare feet dirty. The room wasn’t serviced daily so we had to ask for more toilet paper, milk and hair conditioner. Then we had problems with internet connection and were told that the builder’s truck had crushed the fibre optic cable. This was on the top of no restaurant/bar as on their website as completed last year as is the artist’s illustration. Now I understand why they are only rated as a 3 star Don’t believe their website and go to another resort/motel.

It is located centrally and convenient 5-10 min walk to Coles / shops and cafes .The staff for very welcoming to us, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable even delivering us to our second (but first booked hotel ) . We needed one extra, earlier night in Kununurra but our other pre booked hotel was full. The rooms are very spacious, modern and our beds comfortable, great air conditioning and though we didn’t get to eat there - the Restaurant menu was extraordinary. It’s undergoing renovations but it didn’t disrupt anything .

A brilliant quiet oasis. All rooms have been refurbished and are modern clean and comfortable. Looking forward to seeing the hotel when it’s completed in full. Staff are super friendly and accommodating, thanks to Narelle and Dean for accommodating us under last minute notice.

Had 2 nights at the Cambridge.. Dean and his friendly team could not do enough for us .. although hotel under renovations new rooms are excellent.. we ate at the restaurant a few times and could not fault the food … Thankyou for a great stay .. highly recommend …

Highly recommended for a lot of reasons. Reasonably priced, free transfers to and/or from the airport, clean, comfortable and modern rooms, quiet location and onsite restaurant. Short walk to the shops or over to the pub for dinner. Secure and gated. The staff were amazing. I fluffed around with my booking a bit but they were very patient, and they really couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Probably need to be aware that the hotel is currently being upgraded so there’s a lot of construction going on and no pool at this point. This didn’t impact us at all - although we stayed on weekends so no construction noise. Great place for an overnight or short stay.

People are the greatest asset for any organisation. Staff at the Cambridge are always smiling and happy to help. We stayed in one of the many rooms that has recently been renovated. It has been done well. Many rooms still await renovation. The breakfast is excellent with options for everyone.
