White Fort Thekkady

I booked an AC room with breakfast at Hotel White Wood Thekkady for a family trip, but it turned into a nightmare. There was no electricity in the room. No AC, no fan, no proper lighting—just one small bulb barely lighting up the space. None of the plug points worked, so we couldn’t even charge our phones. At 11 PM, with no help from the staff, we had to sleep on the sofas in the reception area with our family for over an hour—it was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. Only after that did the hotel shift us to a non-AC room, where at least the fan worked. But we ended up spending the night in a non-AC room after paying for AC. No apology, no refund, no basic courtesy. Next morning, we were told that breakfast was over and even milk was finished. I had to go out and buy milk just so they could prepare coffee. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. Very poor management and lack of basic amenities. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Room- spacious, clean bathrooms, bed enough for 3 people, 24 hrs Hot Water availability, free and fast wifi.... Location - In Main town with good parking, walkable distance to Periyar Boating center, many good restaurants and shops nearby.... Safety- Feel like home... Free complimentary breakfast All these for very reasonable price. A must try hotel in Thekkady Friendly staffs....even given us more time for check out.

Mmt is the best site. Best stay. I like the room atmosphere. The area was very neet and clean. Good stay.
